Goth: Before I introduce to you the recording artists who will play some nice tunes. I want to express the happy feeling of me coming here in the place where Shipman wanted his match and to win the title and tell him to shove it. I’m here to tell Phoenix that he does not stand a chance in hell of winning the title and I’m here to tell Alex Young that Lightning will not strike twice in a row. So basically I’m saying the next thing, stay home while you got the chance, because the Family is going to take over!!!!
The members of the army is divided in their opinion on what Goth just said, but the owner does not care
And now to entertain you all, I got Canadian recording artists Nickleback to play you a nice tune. What else did you expect? Celine Dion???
With that the camera’s turn to the stage and we see Nickleback crank up the volume for the armed forces
The large screen TRON crackles to life and the attention of the crowd in attendance at Breakout is turned toward the TRON to see what is about to come on the screen. When the scene comes fully in focus we see Bill Barnhart somewhere backstage in a mockup of a farm. We see bales of hay...a few goats and pigs...and Barnhart is dressed in old bluejean coveralls and he is wearing a huge raggedy country boy straw hat and he has a stalk of hay straw hanging out of his mouth. Bill makes a few comments in his best Southern country boy hick drawl.
BILL BARNHART: Hooo Weee there mister Billy Goat I have a match with that there Jason "the Hick" Cash in a little bit. I guess I should go get a shot of my Moonshine and then mount the sheep before I get to my wrastlin' match eh?
SHEEP: B-a-a-a-a-a!!! B-a-a-a-a-a!!!
BILL BARNHART: Yeah, maybe yur right that was a B-a-a-a-a-a-d joke to pull on Jason Cash en? Looky here...I don't give a crap what Cash boy thinks, all I care about is giving him a good ol' country boy hick ass kickin' tonight! Oh what you say Jason? I can't kick your ass? I kicked it pretty damn well twice before so there shouldn't be a problem doing it a third time! Boy listen up now ya hear! Maybe I shouldn't make fun of you being a backwoods country boy hick but man you make it way too easy for me! You think you can bring a country boy ass kicking my way? I know I can bring a big city Northern California ass kicking to your neck of the woods. Just be ready in a short to get beat down because I am damn sure ready to beat you down!
Bill takes the stalk of hay straw out of his mouth and he tosses it to the floor. He takes off his raggedy straw hat and he flips it off to the side. Bill then removes his worn bluejean overalls to reveal he is dressed in his wrestling attire and ready to go. Barnhart then picks up one of the hay bales and he tosses it across the set where he hits the ground and explodes into a burst of straw. As Bill is walking off the set he turns to the camera and he gives a THUMBS UP sign and then he walks out of camera range.
Anarchy vs. Steve Ramone
Tex: Wow what an opening so far!!! And I can’t wait for this opening match!!!
Duff: Neither can these thousands of thousands of men of the great Canadian army!!!
We can see Stormy stand on top of the biggest tank as she is wearing an army tank top as she is smiling towards the army men.
Stormy: The opening match of this months Breakout is going to be a special Army Tank Match!! Where the wrestlers will be surrounded by large tanks as a ring!! The first wrestler to come down this battlefield stands in at 6’6 and weighs in at 270 pounds!! Hailing from Parts Unknown!!! ANARCHY!!!!
We can hear Burn from Papa Roach play over the huge sound system as the newcomer slide from one of the tanks. He is wearing a green shirt and army pants and boots as he awaits the arrival of his opponent. He is flexing his muscles as he grins before hearing the music from his opponent
Stormy: And his opponent!!! Standing in at 6’0 and weighs in at 200 pounds!! Hailing from New York City, New York!!! “The Fearless One” Steve Ramone!!!!
A lesson in Violence hits as Ramone stands on top of the biggest tank. He is wearing an army vest that he throws into the army men on top of the tanks, who are screaming from the top of their lungs for the man that is going to entertain them. He turns around and jumps backwards into the battlefield that he will fight in against Anarchy. He turns around and is met by a big boot from Anarchy, who takes the match to his momentum right away as he was given an opening from the Hall of Famer.
Tex: That wasn’t the way that Ramone wanted to start off with!!
Duff: Hey, it’s stupid to take your eyes off a man of the size and power as Anarchy…. I…, Jeez!!!!
We can see Anarchy grab Ramone by the head and lifts him over his shoulder before dropping Ramone shoulder first across his knee and drops him into the sand as Ramone holds on to his now injured shoulder. Anarchy gets up and screams out in anger as he spreads his muscular arms wide and grins as he looks down at the Hall of Famer
Tex: Some big time momentum so far for the new guy
Anarchy grabs Ramone by the face and wants to get him to his feet. He lifts him up in a Powerbomb position and lifts him in the air, before walking over to a tank and drops Ramone back first into the tank. We can see the head bounce off of the tank as Anarchy lifts him up again and drops Ramone into the ground. Anarchy hooks Ramone for the three count, but just before the referee slaps his hand on the ground for the third time it is Ramone that gets his shoulder up in time.
Duff: No way, how did he kick out on that one!!!
Tex: The guy is going to do everything to become Universal Champion Duff. And he wants to win every match.
Anarchy grabs Ramone by the head and wants to perform the same move again. But just as he grabs him to put him between his legs, he gets sand thrown into his face and that causes him to stagger a bit. Ramone slowly gets to his feet and manages to get to a horizontal position. He slowly climbs the closest tank as he seizes up the bigger man and jumps off with a Moonsault type of move, where he manages to catch Anarchy with his legs around his head and manages to do a Frankensteiner type move. This move sends Anarchy into the ground in a pinning position as Ramone holds on to his feet. Anarchy manages to kick out at the final moment, still blinded by the sand he doesn’t see Ramone grabbing his own leather belt from his pants. Ramone then delivers several belt slaps across the chest and even two that hit him in the face. We can see blood come from the eyebrow above Anarchy’s left eye. Ramone starts to choke the monster out with the leather belt srap while sitting on his back. Driving his knee in the spine of Anarchy, while pulling hard on the strap nd putting all of his weight on his opponent
Tex: Steve is showing some determination in this match as he has had a good comeback
Anarchy slowly gets to his hands and knees as Ramone is sitting on his back, wrapping his arm around the belt as he locks Anarchy in a reversed Chinlock while having the strap pulled hard around the throat. Anarchy gets to his feet and is about to run backwards towards a tank, but Ramone manages to put on the breaks as he stops on a tank and jumps forward for a Bulldog Headlock. Driving Anarchy’s face into the desert sand, blinding him once again. Ramone climbs on the tank and executes a 450 Splash on top of Anarchy
Duff: This has got to be IT!!! NO!!!!
Somehow Anarchy manages to get his shoulder up just in time as Ramone was already expecting a victory in his own mind. He starts to question the referee, as the referee shows him the count of two. This infuriates Ramone, as he climbs the tank once more and this time he waits for Anarchy to get to his feet for a Hurricanrana. Just as Anarchy turns around, we see Ramone execute the move and when he is about to perform the Hurricanrana he gets caught. Anarchy uses his leg strength to maintain his vertical position and his upper body strength to lift Ramone high in the air before driving him down with a Flap Jack type move. Causing Ramone to eat dust. Anarchy slowly gets to his feet and grabs the leather belt that Ramone used on him earlier, he runs his hand over his bloodied eyebrow and wipes the blood all over his chest. He grabs Ramone by the head and lifts him up to his feet.by pulling on the strap that he has wrapped around the throat of Ramone and slams him face first into a tank near to him before executing a jawbreaker on his shoulder as he drops down hard.
Tex: See saw match this has become, now it is Anarchy showing his mean streak
Anarchy grabs Ramone by the head and locks him in his patented finishing move.
Duff: Chaos Clutch coming up!!!
Anarchy locks the Dragon Sleeper on Rmaone as he has him locked as well as the Strap still around the throat of Ramone. Ramone struggles to break freem from the grip of the newcomer who has got the hold locked in tight. The referee grabs the arm of Ramone to see whether he will give in or not. He raises the arm once and it drops, he raises it twice and it drops again. He raises it for the third time, but this time it gives Ramone the leverage to jump upwards and kick Anarchy in the face. Causing him to drop the wrestler as the match continues. The army men are cheering both men on as they are enjoying a good fight. Anarchy and Ramone both stumble to one side of the “ring” as they reach for a tank. Anarchy starts to turn around as he witnesses a charging Ramone, he grabs him and delivers a mighty Back Body Drop, sending Ramone back first into the tank. He climbs the tank and grabs Ramone who is in clear pain. He lifts Ramone up to his feet and points in the sky, as he signals for the end to be near
Tex: Anarchy Slam!!!
Anarchy performs the Spinning Side Slam and covers Ramone on top of the tank as the referee calls for the bell as the match come to an end
Stormy: The winner of this match!!! Anarchy!!!
Anarchy stands over Ramone as his music hits and the special Breakout goes to a break
Winner: Anarchy
Anthony is shown standing holding a microphone. He is all smiles as he addresses the AWA fans watching.
Anthony Phoenix: Hello my name is Anthony Phoenix…but of course you already know that. Tonight, my match will be the match tonight leaving a lasting impression on everyone. Tonight I will also leave a lasting impression on one Jonathan “Fang” Porter. With all this talk about Destiny, Fang has finally stood up and taken notice. He says that he allowed me to challenge for the title, to be honest I don’t give a damn if he “allowed” me or not as at the end of the day; I will be the one holding the title high above my head. You see I talk a lot about DESTINY and it will be realized tonight as well, as it’s Fang’s DESTINY to be lying in the middle of the ring: A…BIG…BLOODY…MESS!!
Anthony smirks at the camera as the scene returns back to the arena.
Page Harris stands back stage with Jason John Cash, who is getting ready for his match with Bulldog Bill Barnhart.
Page: I would like to welcome you back, Jason. What made you want to come back again.
Jason: I done already damn told yall…I wanna fight. Bunch of punks out there who would rather call the law or just damn sue ya if ya look at em wrong but not around here.
Page: We have a lot of new talent here, maybe one of them will give you the fight you’re looking for and more.
Jason takes a drink of beer.
Jason: I doubt that, Page. These fart nuggets might fight, but they cant damn do it good… These little bastards couldn’t fight there way out of a paper sack floating down a river of turds… Just like ole Wild Bill…. Gone get his as whooped!
Page opened her mouth to ask another question, but Jason walked away.
Bill Barnhart vs. Jason John Cash
Stormy: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is under standard rules!!! The first wrestler to come down the aisle is a returning hero!!! He stands in at 6’4 and weighs in at 255 pounds!! Hailing from Braxton, MS!!!! He is our Hillbilly Rockstar!!! Jason John Cash!!!
Take it outside by Brantley Gilbert hits on the PA system. Jason Cash walks out of the curtain with a huge smirk across his face. He looks around to the crowd before taking a large drink of his beer. He then makes his way down to the ring. Once inside, he reaches into his boot and takes out his can of cherry skoal. He gets himself a dip and he is ready to fight
Stormy: And his opponent!! Standing in at 6’0 and weighing in at 240 pounds!! Hailing from Oakland, California!!! He is representing the Family!!! Bill Barnhart!!
TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS by Bachman Turner Overdrive hits the speaker. The TRON crackles to life and we see a close-up shot of Bill Barnhart and Iris his English Bulldog. The TRON then shifts scenes to seversl clips of Bill's wrestling matches where he is either administering his Bulldog or Piledriver to his opponent for the pinfall, or he is using one of his many submission moves to make them tap out. The spotlights focus on the backstage curtains and we see Bulldog Bill Barnhart step through the curtains leading Iris on her leash (Iris is not always present at Bill's matches though - so please check his promos for the week to see if Iris was left home or not). Bill comes out dressed in one of his trademark wrestling outfits (either the pink outfit with black trim witn ablack heart sewn over his heart...or the black outfit with pink trimp with a pink heart swen over si heart). Iris is dressed in her Pink Diamond-Studded Dog Collar. Bill walks confidently along the entrance walkway and under the TRON. As he walks under the TRON, pink and white pyros erupt causing a cascade of pink sparks to spill down on the entrance walkway around Bill (and Iris if she is accompanying him). Bill stops at the landing at the top of the entrance ramp to play the crowd with a huge smile on his face even though he gets mostly boos from the crowd. He then takes off with a quick pace to the ring. When Bill arrives at the ring he (hands the leash of Iris to an attendant at ringside) climbs the ring steps, walks along the ring apron, and then ducks through the ropes into the ring. Bill walks around the ring to acknowledge all the people in the crowd and he maintains his huge smile all the time although the crowd is booing him for his bad turn. Bill then turns around and looks Cash straight in the eyes
Tex: These two know each other very well, they have fought against each other as well as alongside each other. I’m just curious how Cash is going to fare after being away for so long. I…,
Duff: Does that answer your question???
Cash delivers a big slap across the face of Bill Barnhart, something that surprises the member of the Family to the point where he staggers backwards. But he goes for the offence right after that, but that’s only countered by Cash who delivers a hiptoss and locks Bill in a side headlock in the middle of the ring. Bill manages to kick out of the hold, but only gets knocked down again by a faster Cash who drops him with a clothesline. Cash gets up and delivers another clothesline before watching Bill slide out of the ring to regroup.
Tex: Smart thinking of Barnhart, Cash had too much momentum going for him
Barnhart slowly gets on the apron, starts to argue with the referee that Cash pulled his hair. The referee tells him that there was no such thing as Bill barely has any hair left. But Barnhart continues to demonstrate about illegal tactics upon the part of his opponent. Cash on his hand is unimpressed and signals that he wants to get a drink. This only infuriates Bill more as the fans are loving it. Bill gets in the ring and pushes Cash in the chest, Cash retaliates as Bill then kicks him in the knee before grabbing by the hair and slams him backwards on the canvas. He then starts to stomp away on Cash as the fans are booing Barnhart. Bill grabs Cash by the hair and lifts him up as he sets him up for a text move slam. Driving him hard to the canvas as he goes for the cover, but only gets a count of 1 as Cash kicks out. Bill gets up and grabs Cash by the hair and pulls him up to his feet before going for another slam, but this time Cash uses all of his weight to his advantage and shifts it so that Bill falls backwards in the middle of the ring and is just barely able to kick out at the final second. Both men get to their feet as Cash ducks a clothesline and then kicks Bill in the midsection before dropping him with a double arm DDT in the middle of the ring. Cash rolls Barnhart over and goes for the cover, but only gets a two count as he looks at the referee
Duff: It was only a two count Cash!!! You don’t got it anymore!!!
Tex: That was in my opinion one of the best double arm DDT’s I’ve ever seen.
Duff: Did he get the job done? No, that’s why he has lost it Tex!!
Tex: Oh brother
Cash shakes his head and grabs Bill Barnhart by the head and lifts him up for a suplex position. But Barnhart blocks it by putting a leg between Cashe’s and blocking his attempt. Cash tries it again and same result. Cash delivers some heavy forearm blows to the back of Barnhart, before going for a suplex attempt and again Bill blocks it. This infuriates Cash as he lets go and goes for an Abdominal Stretch. Pulling Barnhart hard backwards as the Member of the Family tells the referee to shove it as he isn’t planning on giving in to the pain. Cash holds on to the hold as he sees the referee checking in on Bill and grabs the top rope with his free hand for more leverage
Duff: That’s illegal tactics!!!
Tex: Yes it is, so??
Duff: You are partial!!!
The referee finally realizes what Cash is doing and kicks his arm away from the ropes. Cash doesn’t pay attention to Bill and pays for it as Barnhart hiptosses him off of him and manages to drop himself headfirst into the groin area of Cash. Who rolls around with his hands below his waist in lots of pain. Bill gets up and grins as he points towards his opponent. He then points towards the turnbuckles and sets himself up for a big splash of the top turnbuckles. But when he jumps off, he hits the canvas as Cash has rolled out of the way in the final split second. Cash gets up to his feet and signals for the end to be near. He grabs Barnhart and whips him in the ropes, when he comes off the ropes he is caught by Cash in a Spine Buster
Tex: Rebel Yell!!!
After hitting his finisher, he covers Barnhart and the referee goes down for the three count and gives the win to the returning Jason John Cash
Stormy: The winner of this match!!! Jason John Cash!!
Cash celebrates his victory as he slides out of the ring and shakes the hands with the fans before wlaking to the back
Winner: Jason John Cash
Goth can be seen standing along with his brother, the two men are talking as Goth puts his hand on his brother’s shoulder
Goth: It’s time that we showed the boy who is the best in this joint and guess what? That’s you my brother
The two grin as Fang walks out to the entrance way for his match
Fang vs. Anthony Phoenix
Stormy: Our next match is for the International Title. Entering first from Arlington, Virginia. He is the Legend Killer. Anthony Phoenix!
The lights go out with just a solid white spot light aimed at the middle of the stage. “The Truth Shall Set Me Free” by Story of the Year begins to play as Anthony Phoenix comes walking out wearing his current superstar t-shirt and his wrestling gear. Anthony goes to one knee as he puts his head down.
As soon as the singer starts to sing, Anthony stands and throws his arms apart in a cocky pose as he holds his head up. Flashing a cocky smile on his face, Anthony starts to walk towards the ring with a very nonchalant gate.
The crowd rains down a mixture of boos and cheers but nothing fazes Anthony. He makes it to the edge of the ring and looks around as the camera closes in on his face the cocky smile is still plastered across it, as he slides under the bottom rope.
Once inside Anthony walks over to the center and looks around with that cocky expression still on his face. Anthony then walks over to the side of the ring nearest the camera and nods directly at it as if he’s acknowledging his television fans. As the music ends Anthony takes off the T-shirt while beginning to prepare for the match.
>font color=Pink> And now entering the arena. From Long Pond, Pennsylvania. He is the current and reigning AWA International Champion. He is Jonathan “Fang” Porter!
The arean goes dark, fog hits the entrance as red light fills the fog. Seven Days of the Wolves by Nightwish cues up and the fans begin to boo. On the titantron a big quill pen and a piece of black paper appear. The Pen looks as if it's writing something and then the paper turns and in large cursive red letters is the name Fang. Then under that the phrase "Sign your name on the line and your soul is mine" Fang walks out of the fog wearing a suit and tie and carrying with him a rolled up piece of black paper in his right hand. He makes his way to the ring ,as the lights come back up, and he looks around at the crowd. He holds up the paper and mouths "YOU ALL WANT SOMETHING" and then he rubs his fingers together "IT'S GOING TO COST YOU". He waits for his opponent looking our at the crowd and taunting them. While he waits he also takes off his suit jacket and hands it to a ring attendant. he loosens his collar and rolls up the sleeves on his dress shirt.
Tex: For the fan’s viewing pleasure, Duff and I will be quiet throughout the match.
Anthony Phoenix wastes no time in rushing right at Fang. Fang isn’t stupid, he is a veteran wrestler, so He simply ducks the rush. To his surprise though, Phoenix twists his body and manages to kick Fang in the back of his head while doing a backflip. Fang falls to the ground hard. Phoenix grins to himself before jumping onto Fang’s back. Phoenix procedes to beat Fang’s face into the mat, leaving the man bloodied already. He then heads up top as Fang lies motionless on the wrestling mat. He leaps with an elbow drop. Fang rolls out of the way at the very last second. Phoenix slams onto nothing but mat. Fang, still winded, lays there hoping that Phoenix has been slowed for even a second. Fang is wrong though and Phoenix begins to stir. Fang tries to get up and going first, but Anthony Phoenix is much younger and he is the first up. Phoenix seems a bit pissed that Fang was able to move out of the way and rushes at the vet once more. Again, Fang ducks the running clothesline. Remembering what happened before, Fang quickly turns around and catches Phoenix’s foot as he tries the same flip kick as before, causing Phoenix to fall flat on the matt. Fang goes to work stomping on the young man only to have his foot caught. Anthony Phoenix pulls Fang’s foot, causing him to fall down. Phoenix quickly lands a leg drop across Fang’s throat.
Anthony Phoenix rolls under the ropes and grabs a chair. When he gets back into the ring, Fang is standing and watching the young man. Fang wearily stays away, as Phoenix threatens with the chair. Fang grabs the chair and a tug of war begins. The two pull the chair back and forth until Anthony Phoenix kicks Fang between the legs. Fang goes to his knees as Anthony Phoenix follows up with chair shots. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 times he hits Fang across the head with the chair. Phoenix sees the end in sight. He leaves the ring and comes back with the ladder, as Fang seems unconscious in the ring. Phoenix begins to climb the ladder. He is nearly to the top, when Fang quickly gets up and runs over and climbs up. The two begin hitting each other. It is Fang who gets the upper hand when he slams Anthony Phoenix’s face onto the top of the ladder and flips over him with a power bomb from the top of the ladder. The two lay there motionless. Again, it is the younger Anthony Phoenix who manages to pull himself up first, followed by Fang. The two lock up. Fang pushes Phoenix toward the ropes, but Anthony Phoenix hit’s a drop toe hold on Fang. Fang lands with his throat across the ropes.
Anthony Phoenix leaves the ring. He brings in a table. He sets the table up as close as he can to the nearest turnbuckle. He grabs Fang and hits him a few times before putting him on top of the table. Anthony Phoenix then climbs the turnbuckle. Leaping off of it, Anthony Phoenix lands his Best Frogspash Ever!, crushing Fang and the table beneath him. Phoenix gets up and begins to walk toward the ladder. He begins to climb. Fang gets up. Phoenix reaches the top. Fangs begins to climb. Phoenix reaches up for the belt. Fang reaches Phoenix, as his veteran skills told him to climb on the same side. Fang hits Phoenix’s back, causing Phoenix to try an elbow. Fang catches the elbow and picks Anthony Phoenix up onto his shoulders. Fang leaps off of the ladder and hits is Full Metal Jacket onto Anthony Phoenix, who simply crumbles on impact. Fang fights his body and manages to get up. He slowly climbs the ladder. Anthony Phoenix manages to get up. Fang reaches the top and wastes no time in grabbing the title and pulling it down just as Phoenix reaches the top.
Stormy: The winner of this match and STILL International Champion!!! Fang!!!
Anthony Phoenix goes ballistic. He destroyed Fang the entire match, but Fang wins? He grabs Fang’s head and slams it onto the belt and the top of the ladder. He hoists Fang onto his shoulders and leaps off of the ladder with is P-DT, leaving Fang completely motionless in the ring. He then picks Fang up and throws him toward a turnbuckle. He lifts Fangs near motionless body up onto the top and then climbs up himself. He grabs Fang by the head and leaps, landing Fang’s own Fatal Shot from the top rope to the outside of the ring. As he begins to walk away, Goth’s music hits and Goth walks out onto the stage.
Goth: I see you did a number on my brother. Hmph! Oh I have a surprise for you………You will see, next week on our next show you will have another shot at my brother and the championship belt…. But the revenge will be sweet young Anthnoy.
With that Anthony Phoenix grins as he heard the words from Goth and looks back at the man that he destroyed knowing he will have another shot next week at the title
Winner: Fang
“Sweet Dreams” by Malaria begins playing on the speakers and Shipman emerges from behind the curtain to a deafening cheers from the Canadian soldiers. In an nontraditional Shipman fashion he gives out high fives and hugs to the soldiers on his way to the ring. After a lap around the ring he finally enters and is handed a microphone by Stormy Canyon. He brings the microphone to his mouth as the music fades but the cheers and chants of “SHIPMAN SHIPMAN” are so loud he just laughs and waves to the soldiers some more before putting his finger to his mouth to signal for silence.
Shipman: Hello Canadian troops.
The fans cheer loudly.
Shipman: Does it ever feel good to be in front of real men and women like yourselves. I know I am a crazy psycho bastard here but even I know when someone deserves respect and no one does more then each and every one of you. (more loud cheers) It is a great honor to perform my craft in front of each and every one of you and I thank you for allowing me and the boys in the back to do so.(Cheers)
Now usually I might come out here and talk trash about my opponent but instead I am here to introduce some great soldiers I met in the week I have been here. First from the Royal New Brunswick Regiment, Master Corporal Steph MacMullin. For those of you who do not know Steph, she was originally in the Nova Scotia Highlanders from 2006 to 2008 when she transferred to RNBR, and she is the only female to pass her Primary Leadership Qualification course right before she came here. Next from 2nd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment, Master Warrant Officer Vic Hickey. MWO Hickey was inducted into the Canadian Military sports Hall of Fame a few years back and holds several Canadian marathon records. At the end of this rotation he will be home a retired man after spending 35 years in the forces. Lastly from the Nova Scotia Highlanders Corporal Myles Mackenzie. Myles has been in since 2004 and while on work up training received a commander's commendation coin for his quick thinking during an exercise in California that saved his whole platoon.
Some bagpipes begin playing and out come the three soldiers Shipman named off. MWO Hickey, a man so skinny he can stab you with his cheek bones is in the middle waving a big Canadian flag. They enter the ring and Shipman gives hand shakes to all of them and hands the microphone to Myles, who is about 6'2 and about 230 pounds with a slight gut just concealed in his uniform.
Myles: Shipman, not just us but all the Canadian forces thank you and the AWA for coming to visit us in this sand box. It is a nice change from Don Cherry. But it also means so much that you guys would come here and support us while there is still so many people out there showing disrespect by saying things like “the Canadians have an army?” or “I didn't even know they were there”. We have 156 names on a wall that show we were here. But enough about that before I get pissed. Again thank you Chris, and the AWA, and don't hesitate about visiting again.
An “AWA” chant breaks out as Myles hands the microphone to Steph. She is about 5'9 and fit.
Steph: And on behalf of all the Canadian soldiers that have been here since 2002 we present you with this flag that flew at Patrol Base Nathan Wilson since it opened here in Afghanistan. Thank you guys so much.
MWO Hickey hands the flag to Shipman and the three salute him. Shipman salutes back and then begins waving the Canadian flag high above his head as the crowd explodes in a thunderous cheer.
WCC vs. Alex Yougn & Nicholas Brooks vs. Matthew Toddi & Hank Henry III
Stormy: The following contest is an elimination triple threat tag team tables match for the AWA World Tag Team Championshiiiiips!!!
The U.S. soldiers in attendance go nuts as the cameras wheel around the ring showing a grand total of 5 set up wooden tables, placed in different locations. Stormy, who is still in her army-style tank top and blue jean shorts begins to introduce the combatants, herself being just as excited as the crowd is.
Stormy: Introducing first, the challengers. First, coming to the ring at a combined weight of 473 pounds, the team of Matthew Toddi and Hank Henryyyy!!!
Isolation by Alter Bridge hits the PA system. Before Toddi walks out you hear the opening lines to the theme.
During the opening riff, a series of amazing red and white fireworks come from all directions. Then Matthew Toddi walks through them, followed by Hank Henry and Chaplin Graves. Chaplin delivers a bit of a jerky motion as it looks like he’s scared of Toddi’s fireworks. Toddi is wearing a black knee-length coat made from ripped leather while Hank Henry is in his usual garb, plus cowboy hat. They both walk down to the ring, roll in, stand up in the ring and looks at the fans. They then walk to 2 separate turnbuckles. Matthew climbs up the one he’s chosen but Hank stops and just waits in the ring, turning toward the stage in anticipation. Toddi stays on the turnbuckle for a bit as a majority of the soldiers boo him until he gets down. Toddi’s music dies out as Stormy removes herself from the ring before continuing introductions.
Duff: That was nice of Hank, allowing for Toddi’s music to be played. I wouldn’t have been so nice.
Tex: For some reason, I don’t think Hank cares. He’s here to get down to business.
The Bell rings and the talk of Roy Jones starts followed by the music of the Can't be touched. Pyro's blast across the stage and the Titan Tron when Alex Young comes out at the Can't be Touched part of the song. Alex jumps around as the fans cheer him on as some more Pyro blasts across the stage. Alex walks to the ring while extending his arms to shake hands with the fans and stares at his two opponents that are already in the ring. Alex stops and waits for his partner to come out. Alex’s music ceases and is quickly replaced by “Power” by Kanye West. As it starts we hear Stormy speak.
Stormy: Coming to the ring, at a combined weight of 519 pounds…they are Alex Young and “Heatwave” Nicholas Brooks!
The pop is deafening as the man known as Heatwave steps out from the curtain onto the steel stage with a wide smile on his face before making his way down the ramp towards the ring, joining up with Alex Young before the two slide into the ring together as the U.S. troops surrounding the ringside area cheer.
Tex: I guess it’s clear as to whom the fan favorites are…
Duff: As much as I don’t knock our troops, these ones just seem to be sheep.
Tex: Don’t let them hear you say that.
The cheers die down as Stormy introduces the current AWA World Tag Team Champions.
Stormy: And their opponents, weighing in at a combined 535 pounds…they are the current AWA World Tag Team Champions…Th1rt3en and John Gold!!!
The Ripper by Judas Priest begins to play as smoke engulfs the top of the ramp. Purple lights from inside the smoke give off an eerie glow and as Th1rt3en begins to rise from under the ramp, white strobes flicker giving off the illusion of lightning. John Gold comes from behind the curtain just as Th1rt3en walks through the smoke. They both look around at the crowd and sneer as they make their way to the ring. Once inside Th1rt3en shakes the ring ropes then stands on the second rope beating his chest while John Gold simply warms up for the pending war ahead as Th1rt3en’s music fades out.
Tex: This one should be a slobberknocker. And from what I’m hearing one man from each team will be allowed to be legal at all times. This one could take a while.
Duff: Yep! Button down those hatches, because we know at least 4 people are going to eat wood here tonight in Kandahar!
Two referees come from out of the back. Once they are in position they both call for the bell to be rung. As soon as it rings, madness breaks out as all six men go after one another.
Duff: So much for what you “heard” Tex…
Hank heads for 13. Toddi goes for Alex Young. And Brooks goes for Gold. All three pairs take to separate corners of the ring and begin to whale away on one another. 13 is the first to gain a definite upper hand as he delivers a few knife-edge chops which rattle Hank. Hank slumps down and 13 bends down and headbutts Hank, putting him completely down in the corner. 13 looks around the rest of the ring now before he goes to lift Hank up. Hank however delivers a low blow to 13 just outside of the referee’s vision. Hank begins to make his way to his feet as 13 recovers from the cheap shot. Meanwhile in the complete opposite corner Toddi has mounted Alex and is really taking control there as he delivers shot after shot before disembarking. He waits for Young to get part of the way up before blasting him back to the mat with a Muy Thai Kick. The impact of Young hitting the canvas makes the ring shake. Hank moves over to the direction of Young and now begins to help Toddi roll Young out of the ring towards where one of the tables is set up.
Tex: We might have our first victim real soon…
Duff: Possibly. And Brooks is busy with Gold right now! So much for Young’as last opportunity at the tag team titles!
Hank directs traffic and has Toddi pick up Young, but once in the air Young begins to struggle and is eventually able to move enough to slide down Toddi’s back and quickly turn and kick Toddi right in the back. Toddi impacts the ring apron as Brooks pushes Gold away. Brooks rolls out of the ring and grabs Toddi. He spins him around and drops him to the ringside floor mats with a brainbuster as the soldiers cheer. Brooks urges Young to come over. Alex rolls his eyes but then does so and picks up Toddi. He places Toddi on the table before Brooks climbs up onto the table and then executes a simple leg drop onto Toddi. It’s not enough to break the table though so Young tells Brooks to get away and gives him the “Are you serious?” look. Young shakes his head before scooping Toddi up. Toddi looks like he’s getting some life back in him, but that “life” comes to an end as Young spinebusters Toddi right through the table. The referee calls for the bell, officially signaling Toddi’s elimination.
Stormy: Matthew Toddi has been eliminated!
Duff: Some team dissension there, but it worked. Young just showed Brooks how it’s to be done right there!
Tex: Sometimes one-upmanship can be good.
