Tex: Hello everybody and welcome to Monday Night Insomnia! We got ourselves a great show tonight!
Duff: Only four matches happening tonight! That doesn’t mean that it will get any less exciting, Tex, because things always get exciting around here!
Before Tex could agree with his friend’s opinion, Megadeth’s This Day We Fight blares over the speakers and we see Kain coming down the ramp, ignoring the crowd as he slides into the ramp and gets a microphone from Stormy Canyon, then he walks around the ring, looking at the crowd who boo him out of the building. He soaks it all in as he raises up the microphone and yells into it.
Kain: For the last two weeks, I have been running rampant all over the Asylum Wrestling Alliance! For the last two weeks, I have remained undefeated! Now, for the third week in a row, since the beginning of my new profession, I will not only continue to remain undefeated tonight, but I’ll be also winning my first title! I wonder how you idiots will think about that? Very quickly am I infecting the entire Asylum Wrestling Alliance like a plague and no matter what anyone does to me, I’ll NEVER leave this place! After all, it is mine! This entire federation is MINE!!!!
The crowd continue to boo him as Tex and Duff are shocked.
Tex: Who the hell does this guy think he is?
Duff: He’s either very stupid or very brave, Tex! Give this guy his due! He’s been doing great so far! I see massive potential in him!
Tex: Oh please, Duff! You see potential for any guy and look how that worked out for you!
Duff: Oh shut up Tex! You don’t know any better!
Kain: I suggest you peons sit up and take notice!
When it’s all said and done tonight, it would have only taken THREE weeks for me to gain my first title! Now, our Universal champion, on the other hand – it took him FOUR years to get his Universal title! Imagine how fast it would be if I went after the Universal title! You see, I’m the greatest wrestler and fighter in the world today! No one has been able to match up to my awesome superiority or skill! I don’t care how long it takes to get the job done here, but when I do, no one will EVER forget the name Kain again! Now, onto my opponent this week – Chris Shipman! Tell me, you fucking retard, do you believe that you have a shot against me, a possessed demon with nothing to lose! Tonight, your time as the AWA Television champion finally comes to an end and that title is coming home to ME! So if I were you, I’d start coming up with a plan with your reckless friends, because that’s the only way you can be saved! Oh wait, you can’t be saved at all, because no one CAN save you! Today, you will feel my…
Suddenly, his words are cut short when he receives a chair shot into the back of his head! The camera pulls back as it witnesses Chaos with a chair in both hands. He tosses it away as he gets on top of Kain and begins to punch him into the face as the rest of the Axiom rushes down the ramp and enters the ring, joining their leader on the beating! The crowd noise begins to grow louder with the booing as the group continue to pummel Kain. Kain tries to get up and fight back, but someone manages to kick him down to the ground again. Chaos picks up the chair and smacks Kain in the face! Blood begins to pour out of his forehead as the crowd are not enjoying this sight!
Tex: What the hell? This is the second time in a row that Axoim pounced on the newcomer!
Duff: It’s all about proving a point about their group! They’ll take anyone out unless if they are on their side!
Chaos laughs as he exits the ring, the rest of Axiom joining them as they walk up the ramp. Together, the trio have their hands and arms raised high as Kain is on one knee, a serious, pissed-off look on his face, glaring at Chaos and the rest of Axoim as the camera slowly fades away.
Dmitri can be seen holding a candle that is burning while his eyes are fixated upon it
Dmitri: Three names enter... only one will survive... guess who holds the truth of the blood in your hands victims of our truth???
Dmitri slowly blows out his candle and laughs as the shot fades to darkness
Russel Wayne vs. Dmitri vs. Nick Carsson
The opening match is about to start and the fans at the SIU Arena in Carbondale, Illinois are excited to get Monday Night Insomnia underway. They don’t have long to wait as they hear MY LAST BREATH by Evanescense hit the speakers and the arena goes dark. Two lime green lasers shoot down from the ceilings and circle around the entrance area. As fireworks explode around the entrance area we see Russell Wayne step out from the backstage area and walk up to the landing at the top of the entrance ramp. After playing the crowd to a mostly favorable reaction Russell heads down the ramp and arrives at ringside. We watch as he climbs up the ring steps, walks along the ring apron, and then he ducks through the ropes and walks to the center of the ring. He drops to his knees, leans back, and then thrusts his arms into the air while fire shoots out of the top of the four ring posts. When the fire from the ring posts subsides, Russell Wayne gets to his feet and he backs into a corner to await the arrival of Dmitri and Nick Carsson.
STORMY CANYON: Here is your first participant in our opening match, a Triple Threat Match, he is from Manhattan, New York, he stands 6 feet tall, and he weighs 228 pounds, please welcome RUSSELL “THE FRANCHISE” WAYNE!!!
TEX: Now here you have the complete package in a wrestler Duff. Talented…handsome…and confident.
DUFF: When Dmitri and Carsson get done with him the only package Russell Wayne will be in is a body bag.
The fans again give a favorable reaction to the announcement of Russell Wayne but their cheering is cut short when we hear LEGACY IN BLOOD by Vampira hit the arena speakers. We see the TRON come to life as drops of blood drip down the screen until the name Dmitri appears written in blood. Dmitri comes out from the backstage area and walks under the TRON and he stops at the landing at the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd gives Dmitri a mixed reaction as he stands there staring down toward the ring where Russell Wayne is waiting for him. After a short time Dmitri confidently walks down the entrance ramp to the ring. When he arrives at the ring he reaches up and grabs the ropes and he pulls himself up on the ring apron. Dmitri then steps over the top rope and into the ring again to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Dmitri just stands there staring down Russell Wayne as the announcement of his arrival is made by Stormy Canyon.
STORMY CANYON: Here is the second participant in this Triple Threat Match, he comes from Moscow, he stands tall at 6 feet 7 inches, and he weighs 275 pounds, please welcome DMITRI!!!
TEX: I don’t care how much the fans are split on supporting Dmitri I simply cannot get behind him with my support.
DUFF: I would like to get behind you and kick you in the butt Tex!
The crowd goes into their mixed reaction for Dmitri and their cheering and booing last for about one minute until we hear JUMP THE F*CK UP by Soulfly hit the speakers in the arena announcing the entrance of Nick Carsson. As he comes out from the backstage area he gets a mostly negative reaction from the crowd but he brushes off the negative reaction as he is a very confident wrestler. Nick makes no hesitation as he heads straight down the entrance ramp toward the ring. When Carsson is a few feet from the ring he dives head first under the bottom rope and quickly pops to his feet. He points at Russell Wayne and Dmitri and he indicates that he is going to easily win this match tonight.
STORMY CANYON: Here is your final participant in this Triple Threat Match, he is from Deva, Romania, he stands approximately 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 264 pounds, he is NICK CARSON!!!
TEX: Just what we need in Asylum Wrestling Alliance eh? Another smart mouth punk wrestler who thinks he is IT around here.
DUFF: If you don’t lighten up Tex, you are going to get IT from me!
The crowd goes into their mostly negative reaction for the announcement of Nick Carsson. He ignores the crowd as Referee Simon Jones walks to the middle of the ring and he calls Russell Wayne, Nick Carsson, and Dmitri to him to give them the information on the match. Jones informs the three wrestlers that this is a Triple Threat Match and that the only ways to win the match is by pinfall or submission and that a countout or disqualification on the part of any one of the wrestlers will not result in an automatic win since the other two wrestlers will still be in action and they will still have to win by pinfall or submission. Referee Jones further states that whoever obtains the pinfall or submission will be declared the winner and the other two wrestlers will take a loss in the match. The Referee asks Russell, Nick, and Dmitri if they fully understand the rules and stipulations of this match and all three state that they understand. Referee Jones walks over to the side of the ring where the Timekeeper is located and he asks him to ring the bell to start the match. The Timekeeper rings the bell and this match is officially underway. Before any action can take place we see Bill Barnhart arrive at the announcer ‘s table and take a seat next to Tex and Duff. He dons a headset with mic and he joins them in their calling of this match. The three wrestlers in the ring, and Referee Simon Jones, stop the action to avoid any distraction while Barnhart is at the announcer table.
TEX: Bill what are you doing here? The last time you showed up with us all hell broke loose and our announcer table got smashed into a thousand pieces. Are you here to start trouble again?
BILL BARNHART: Not at all Tex. I am here to add to your color commentary on this Triple Threat Match. Well that, and to expose the lies of the Axiom Stable and especially the lies of Matthew Toddi, the same Matthew Toddi that I will take the International Title away from later tonight in a Triple Threat Cage Match against him and Jason Stevens.
DUFF: This sounds interesting Bill. So what can you tell us about Axiom since they claim to be the truth and honesty of Asylum Wrestling Alliance?
BILL BARNHART: It’s like this Duff. Look at the makeup of Axiom. They lie stating they are a cohesive and honest group of people. You have Chaos who claims to be a very nice guy and he is a jerk. Then you have Dmitri who is a mean person who claims to be a middle-of-the-road type of guy. Toddi claims to be a bad boy but when he faces me later tonight he is going to find out his bad boy looks like Glinda The Good Witch Of The North from the Wizard of Oz compared to my bad boy self. And Chris Shipman is the most perverted and vicious wrestler on the Roster. Don’t you think that is lying trying to say a mis-matched group of wrestlers like that is cohesive? And don’t get me started with Matthew Toddi having to have his friends interfere in his matches to get a win. At least they will not be able to interfere in our Triple Threat Cage Match later…
Bill stops his comments as Matthew Toddi arrives at ringside and the two get into a little conversation. Barnhart stands up to talk to Toddi.
BILL BARNHART: What are you doing here Toddi? Have you come to attack me again like you did last week? Where is your support tonight? Where are your Stable members to perpetrate another 4-on-1 beat down? Huh?
MATTHEW TODDI: Bill, you have it completely wrong, we in Axiom have never “initiated” an attack on anyone. We joined forces to bring sanity and honesty back to Asylum Wrestling Alliance. We are loving and honest and sincere in what we do. We only attack liars to bring truth to them. When are you going to understand that Bill? I am not here to attack you…I am here to get you to stop lying and to accept the truth.
BILL BARNHART: What? You are asking the most honest wrestler ever in the history of Professional Wrestler to tell the truth and accept the truth? Matthew you wouldn’t know the truth if it walked up to you and hit you in the face with a brick!
MATTHEW TODDI: Bill later tonight we have an International Title match, a Triple Threat Match in a Cage. I will teach you the truth in that match and you will accept the truth.
BILL BARNHART: The only truth is that I will defeat you and Jason Stevens to win the International Title and be well on my way to obtaining my second Grand Slam Award.
MATTHEW TODDI: Whatever! Look here Bill I am not going to take away from the opening match to argue with you because that is not fair to Nick, Russell and Dmitri, so if you wish to continue this conversation you can come backstage and we can have a nice peaceful conversation over a glass of Classic Coke.
Toddi turns away from Bill Barnhart and he walks up the ramp and disappears behind the backstage partition. Bill stands up and removes his headset and mic and places it on the table and he starts to walk away from the announcer table.
DUFF: Where are you going Bill? I thought you were going to join us in calling this match.
BILL BARNHART: Matthew just offered me a polite conversation over a glass of Classic Coke so I am going to take him up on that offer. Not every day you have an opponent willing to talk nicely to you about general stuff. See ya!
Barnhart thanks Tex and Duff for their time and we see him head up the ramp and return to the backstage area as well. We resume the match at hand as Russell Wayne, Dmitri, Nick Carsson, and Referee Simon Jones get on with the match.
TEX: I have to admit that was one of the strangest exchanges I have seen in a very long time. I am proud of Matthew Toddi for standing up to Bill Barnhart and calling him the liar that he is.
DUFF: Bill Barnhart is a liar? Come on Tex! Barnhart is the most honest and truthful wrestler in Asylum Wrestling Alliance!
The commotion with Bill Barnhart at ringside is over and Referee Simon Jones motions to Nick Carsson, Russell Wayne, and Dmitri to get on with the action of this match. Dmitri and Carsson lock up and Dmitri shoves Nick hard into the corner. Dmitri turns around to see where Russell is and when he turns around he finds out that Russell Wayne is directly behind him and he feels the pain as Wayne punches him in the jaw. Russell then shoves Dmitri into the same corner where Nick is located and both wrestlers are pinned in the corner by Wayne. Russell grabs the ropes in the corner and lands a few hard shoulder blocks to the midsection of Dmitri, knocking the wind out of him and shoving him back into Nick Carson in the process. Russell grabs Dmitri by the arm and whips him across the ring into the opposite corner where Dmitri slams hard into the corner and the ring shakes. He then grabs Carsson by the arm and he also whips him into the same corner he just whipped Dmitri into. Dmitri sees Nick flying at him and he dives out of the corner and escapes getting hit by Carsson. However Nick slams into the corner hard and he staggers a few steps out of the corner and drops to his knees on the mat.
TEX: Wow! I am truly impressed with Russell Wayne early in the match. He is being very aggressive and he is not giving Dmitri or Nick Carsson a chance to get into this match.
DUFF: Remember that this is a Triple Threat Match so anything can happen and the match can change directions quickly.
Russell walks over to Dmitri and grabs him by the hair and he starts to drag Dmitri to his feet. Dmitri punches Wayne in the midsection which slows him down a little bit. Dmitri lands a few more punches to the midsection of Russell until he has him stopped. Dmitri then grabs Wayne by the arm and whips him into the ropes and he catches Russell with a clothesline on the rebound. Dmitri drags Russell Wayne to his feet and he picks him up apparently to body slam him but instead of walks over to the ropes and he tosses Russell Wayne over the top rope onto the arena floor. The fans gasp as they watch Wayne slam on the arena floor and he isn't moving. Dmitri turns to face Nick Carsson apparently to give him the same treatment he just gave Russell Wayne. Dmitri grabs Nick by the arm to whip him into the ropes but Carsson reverses it on him and he manages to whip Dmitri into the ropes instead. However instead of rebounding off the ropes Dmitri is able to grab onto the top rope and hold on preventing himself from rebounding off the ropes. We watch as Nick Carsson goes to take advantage of Dmitri on the ropes by clotheslining him backward out of the ring and onto the arena floor. As Carsson attempts the clothesline of Dmitri, we see Dmitri squat down which caused Nick to go over the top of him. Dmitri stands up and flips Carsson over the top rope and onto the arena floor. Referee Simon Jones begins a count on the two wrestlers on the outside of the ring even though there are no count outs in this type of Triple Threat Match.
TEX: Uh, Duff, why is Referee Jones making a count on the two wrestlers outside the ring when count outs don't count in this match? I mean if only a pinfall or submission can win the match then even if Referee Jones got to a ten count on the two wrestlers outside the ring the match would still continue.
DUFF: I guess Referees are "creatures of habit" and they just get into a habit of doing things a certain way and they do it out of habit. It is extremely rare, except in Hardcore Rules Matches, where a count out doesn't count for a win.
Realizing he cannot get a victory with a count out, Dmitri exits the ring to add a little more hurt on Russell and Nick before tossing them back into the ring to finish them off. Dmitri slides out of the ring and he approaches Russell Wayne. Russell sees Dmitri coming and he drops to his knees, grabs Dmitri by his waistband, and he pulls him over his head and Dmitri crashes into the steel ring steps hurting his shoulder in the process. Russell walks over to Nick Carson and he drags him to his feet and then he shoves him head first into the barricades. We see Carsson crumple to the arena floor. Wayne then executes a piledriver to Nick on the arena floor and Carsson is unconscious. Russell quickly gets back into the ring to wait for Dmitri and possibly Nick Carsson, to return into the ring. Dmitri gets to his feet and he is massaging his shoulder to get the feeling back. He walks toward the ring and he glances over to see the unconscious Nick Carson on the arena floor. Realizing that the match is now a one-on-one instead of a Triple Threat, Dmitri climbs the ring steps and quickly ducks into the ropes to get this match over before Nick Carsson can regain consciousness.
TEX: Wow, Russell Wayne sure put the lights out on Nick Carsson there outside the ring. It is down to him and Dmitri now.
DUFF: You really amuse me Tex! You always condemn wrestlers for bringing attacks on opponents outside the ring and now you commend Russell Wayne for doing just that?
Russell quickly approaches Dmitri to administer some further punishment but Dmitri manages to duck out of the way and maneuver behind Wayne. He places his arms around the body of Russell and executed a nice Suplex upon him. Dmitri slips on top of Wayne for the pinfall but Referee Jones can only get a two count before Russell kicks out of the pin. Dmitri gets to his feet and he waits for Russell to get to his feet. Dmitri maneuvers to pick Russell Wayne up and he places him on his shoulders and he is attempting a torture rack maneuver upon Russell Wayne. The only defense Russell has is to shake violently enough to pull Dmitri off balance. His violent shaking does just that as we see Dmitri stumble back and fall to the mat with Russell Wayne falling on top of him. Quick to react Russell grabs the legs of Dmitri for the pin but once again Referee Jones can only get a two count before Dmitri manages to get a shoulder up.
TEX: A near victory for Russell Wayne just then!
DUFF: Closies only count in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Tex!
Russel smells victory as he drags Dmitri to his feet. Dmitri punches Wayne in the stomach a few times which backs Russell up but doesn't stop him completely. Wayne counters with a hard kick to the midsection of Dmitri which causes enough of a distraction for him to attempt the Lights Out for the win. As Russell Wayne is getting into position for the Lights Out we see Dmitri manage to squirm away and he now lands a few swift kicks to the midsection of Russell Wayne. Once he has Wayne disabled Dmitri grabs him by the head and administers a Head Butt. While Russell is reeling from the head butt Dmitri gets into position for his Bite of Death DDT finisher. Dmitri quickly tucks Russell's head under his arm and then he quickly drops to the mat executing a DDT that would make Jake "The Snake" Roberts jealous. Dmitri rolls Wayne over and he hooks the legs for the pin. Referee Simon Jones drops into position for the count. ONE...TWO...THREE...!!! Jones gets up and calls for the bell to end the match. He taps Dmitri on the shoulder and pulls him off Russell Wayne. Stormy Canyon enters the ring to announce the results of the match.
STORMY CANYON: Here is your winner of this match, by pinfall, DMITRIIIII!!!!!
Referee Simon Jones raises the hand of Dmitri for the victory. He then drops the hand of Dmitri and we watch as Dmitri quickly exits the ring and heads up the ramp and he returns to the backstage area. Russell Wayne gotten to his feet and he is disappointed that he didn't get the win. Nick Carson is just now regaining consciousness on the outside of the ring and he just now realized the match is over and he didn't have much of a role in the match. He leaves the ringside area and heads to the backstage area. Russell Wayne exits the ring and he heads slowly up the ramp to return to his dressing room.
TEX: I surely wasn't expecting Dmitri to turn the match in his favor at the end. That was truly a surprise.
DUFF: Shut up and hand me a beer!
Winner: Dmitri
The scene switches to the back where we see Big Bad Casey. He is seen walking around the backstage area. He sees the camera and gives a sinister looking smirk, hits play on the radio as The Power and the Glory by Astral Doors plays.
Hey Axiom, you guys talk about exposing the truth of the AWA. I have seen a lot of cheap attacks by you, yet I haven’t seen these truths you speak of. You guys cowardly attacked me after my match with Dmitri with Kain as my partner, then you attacked Bulldog Bill Barnhart for no reason whatsoever. Him and I are now working together to prove that you guys are cowards and liars, despite our dislike of each other. The Frogman Josh Stevens will also be joining us because he was attacked by you guys and harbors no ill will towards Bulldog and myself. Plus he's not an idiot. He sees an opportunity to get together with two AWA superstars and take out the guys who attacked him at his last match. Furthermore, Josh Stevens gets irritated with hypocrisy and and you freaks clearly are guilty of that.
Casey then decides to take a drink of Gatorade. As he drinks, you hear the chorus of the True Power theme song:
It's the power and the glory
In paradise you'll be rewarded for your sacrifice
It's the power and the glory
Now it's your turn, set the unholy people to burn After a moment, when he has quenched his thirst, he continues his talk to Axiom.
Axiom, Bill Barnhart, Josh Stevens and I will be collectively known as True Power. We We simply speak the truth, and are all powerful in our own styles of wrestling. We don’t attack people randomly and expect them to just sit there and take the beatings when it is not in a match, much like what you guys did to Bill Barnhart at the closing of Insomnia last week. That is why I came out to help him, because I got sick and tired of you guys attacking him not once, but twice in a single show for no apparent reason.
Then the scene changes as The Power and the Glory by Astral Doors fades away.
Tex: I got word that Kain has something to say, Duff. I wonder on what’s on his mind?
Before Duff could respond, the titantron opens up and we see Kain, already dressed in full wrestling gear, and already interrupts the duo before they could continue their talk.
Kain: You want to know what’s on MY mind, Tex and Duff? I only have one thing on my mind this week – not only the complete destruction of Chris Shipman, but also winning the Television title – MY TITLE! The Axiom think they can keep on doing this to a man like me each and every week! They think they can get the last laugh on anyone at anytime! But you see, I am the man of the hour that will be winning the war TONIGHT! In fact, Chris Shipman’s days as the Television championship will be over VERY SOON! Soon, the entire world is going to be looking at me for new leadership and seeing how a true fighter gets the job done! This week will surely demonstrate the awesome greatness that I possess! You are all fools to oppose one of the greatest legends of all time – ME! Tonight there will be a new champion and I’m going to make sure that Chris Shipman gets what he deserves in mere moments. I would be even more happier if he just walked into the ring and surrendered the title over to me before I knock him out and smash his skull into the pavement of the ring! Either way, Chris Shipman, your fate…IS SEALED! Until we meet in the ring, tonight…farewell!
Manical laughter roars through the speakers as the titantron fades away, leaving the audience to decide who the heck Kain is as Tex an Duff glance at each other with amused looks before shaking their heads and getting back to the task at hand.
Chris shipman vs. Kain
Stormy Canyon: Coming to the ring! From Detroit, Illinois. Weighing in at 240 lbs. Standing at the height of 6' 4": "The King", KAIN!
The first notes of the guitar for Megadeth's "This Day We Fight!", followed by the rhythmic beat from the drums, blare out over the speakers as the camera gets a close-up view of Kain, who pushes away the curtain and steps out backstage and now stands at the center of the ramp. He looks out at the crowd silently who boo him out of the arena, then looks straight ahead at the ring. He suddenly feels another presence beside him now and smirks as he looks over at Ariel, who casts a beaming smile, white teeth showing. She laughs deviously before the two plant a kiss, and then the couple hold hands and walk down the ramp. They ignore the negative fan reaction, Kain keeping his mind focused and his gaze now at the ring. As they reach the end of the ramp, Ariel plants one final kiss to her man before Kain slips his jacket off and hands it over to her. She takes the jacket and covers herself with it as she walks to the side and stares at her man, obviously happy at what she has as Kain climbs up the steps and enters the ring through the ropes. He walks to the lower-right corner of the ring and takes another glance at the crowd, then raises both arms in the air, both hands clenched into fists, posing for the fans and once again acknowledging their presence as the cameras flash everywhere from the crowd. He then steps down from his post, then turns and faces the entrance ramp, casting a serious glare at the entrance ramp, looking at the ramp ready for his opponent a member of the Axiom Stable and the AWA Television Champion.
Duff: His arrogance look at Kain thinking he can take down any member of Axiom! The Reverend is going to give Kain his Last Rites out of courtesy.
Tex: I agree it will be a tough match for Kain, who is facing a AWA veteran in Chris Shipman, but Kain has had several impressive singles matches including his match beating AWA Legend 'Bulldog' Bill Barnhart just two weeks ago.
Stormy Canyon: Coming to the ring is Asylum Wrestling Alliance's Television Champion!<.
The arena lights go out except for one spotlight on the entranceway at the curtains. A huge church choir emerges and lines the alleyway for the Reverend. They begin to sing the opening of "Who I Am" by Casting Crowns. After the opening the Reverend Chris Shipman with his Television Championship around his waist emerges holding a Bible and cross high in the air and seemingly blesses the crowd on his way to the ring. He gets in the ring sets the Bible and cross down in the middle of the ring. He begins praying before disrobing in his wrestling attire as the lights come back on and the choir stops singing and exits the arena..
Stormy Canyon: Originally from West London, now residing in The Georgian Backwoods. Weighing in at 236 lbs. Standing at 6' 3": "The Reverend" CHRIS SHIPMAN!<.
Tex: The AWA Television Champion has entered the ring sizing up his opponent Kain. Kain seems ready to take on the champion maybe a little much.
Duff: Right out of the gate before the bell rings, Kain has already jumped the Reverend who just delivered a harsh sadistic clothes line! Expect Pain Kain!
The AWA Television Champion showing off his veteran background delivers an elbow quickly to his challenger's chest. Kain feels the pain hit him as the fans see his body react to the blow to his stomach. The referee Chip Johnson watches moving around as Chris Shipman lifts Kain up by his head to deliver an elbow to his face. Shipman finds himself in the air as Kain flips him up in a counter suplex. Kain showing why he is the #1 Contender for the AWA Television Championship complex the suplex with a powerful delivery that sends Chris Shipman's back in spasms.
Kain is not taking any chances at all not allowing his impatience take him now, Kain does what he does best methodically starting to pick Chris Shipman apart. Kain has come here for a belt and that is what he plans to do with a flip with two of his elbows land right into the body of the AWA Television Champion! Shipman is in pain but Kain is not here to give the champion mercy. Kain knows that if he does just for an instant Shipman could turn the tables on this match so he sling shots Shipman into the corner following with a body splash.
Shipman is looking dazed and confused more so than he normally does. Kain steps back with a grin watching the AWA Television Champion start to walk out of the corner almost drunk and almost not there. The challenger with his sick grin on his face as he delivers a very fast, quick spinning back kick that connects at the heart of the stomach knocking the wind out of the AWA champion. Shipman bends over in pain trying to catch his breath as he kneels over.
Duff: Oh no that, that was the Cyclone Kick!
Tex: Kain sized up and planted a trap for the champion can he connect and finish this to finally become the AWA Television Champion?
Knelt over the already dazed Shipman looks up to see Kain has been ready. Kain had taken a step back then quickly stepping forward like a snake striking in the air. Kain jumps spinning in the air executing a powerful quick, 360 tornado kick. to Shipman. The fans watch as the blow connecting sending Chris Shipman the AWA Television Champion crashing to the ground. Kain gets up quickly covering a 'Chocolate' Chip Johnson does the count. Each hand slap one... two... three... all executed perfectly by veteran AWA referee. He stands up points to the bell ringer. Axiom has just been delivered a big blow and his name is Kain.
Stormy Canyon: Your winner and Asylum Wrestling Alliance's newest Television Champion! "The King" KAIN!
With his music playing, his arm up in the air as 'Chocolate' Chip Johnson raises his hand in victory, Kain feels the AWA Television Championship around his waist crowning him one of the three Kings of the AWA, which is fitting for the man with the nickname of "The King" .
Duff: I don't believe it! I guess it is All Hail the King!
Tex: How quickly your loyalties change, Duff. Kain with an impressive victory here at Insomnia, but now the real challenge awaits him. How long can this King remain champion here in the AWA?
Winner: Kain
The camera cuts to the backstage area, in the locker room of none other than the Monster Chaos, the crowd boo's like mad at the Axiom leader as the man himself speaks out
Chaos: Last week, we made more people suffer at the hands of the Axiom making them pay for their lies and their sins, from Kain to Casey, from Bulldog to Josh Stevens and “Fang” we made many people pay for their sins, sure Casey and Bulldog tried to get their vengeance but we are smart enough to lure them in, have their moment in the sun before taking them out when they are at their “strongest”, they will think they are great right now but soon enough no one will remember the name “true power” and THAT is the truth my brothers and sisters...
Chaos lets the boos settle down as he grins, breathing in deeply before speaking out once more
Chaos: Tonight however I fight Jonathan Porter for my Universal title....
Chaos: MY Universal title, see tonight I am going to show that I do not need help, that I can retain this championship by myself, tonight I GUARANTEE not only victory but that not one Axiom member will help me retain this belt, tonight I am heading into that match with the title and by hook or by crook I will be leaving with it still around my waist!
Chaos pauses, the crowd is silent for a moment, taking in his every word
Chaos: “Fang” is going to find that tonight will be me just re-inforcing the fact he can't beat me, I am your Universal champion, a shinning light in this dismal business filled with liars, drunk space wasters and drug abusers, I am the face of truth and hope that this company has and I will not let someone like “Fang” stop our message by taking this belt from me tonight..... tonight he is going to find out the hard way that when you mess with the best....
Chaos: You FALL like the rest!
The Monster grins then begins to walk off but then Kain out of no-where takes Chaos down, the Monster drops the Universal title to the floor, Kain lays in a few right hands taking the champion to the ground, he stands up and grabs a steel chair, Chaos begins to get back to his feet but that doesn't last long as Kain swings hard connecting to the face of the champion who hits the ground hard
Tex: What the.... this ain't fair!
Duff: Fair? This is pay back, Chaos deserves this!
Kain raises the chair once more as Chaos lifts his head up, Kain brings down the steel chair with such a force that it busts open the Universal champs head, the blood begins to pour out, Kain raises the chair again but he sees the other Axiom members coming, he is tempted to hit another shot but is hesitant..... but then he does it anyway smashing Chaos across the head a third time, he drops the chair and backs off as the Axiom members turn up, Toddi and Dmitri tending to Chaos, helping him up, Shipman grabs the Universal belt up off the floor pointing at a grinning Kain who got retribution for last week and earlier tonight
Tex: This is not right damn it, Chaos has a title match tonight
Duff: What does this do for tonights main event? Can Chaos over come this or will Fang walk out of here the new Universal champion, right now... I like his chances Tex
Tex: I hate you Duff....
We quickly cut backstage where Bill Barnhart has popped his head out of his dressing room for a moment to catch a cameraman to make a few comments for Matthew Toddi and Jason Stevens.
Matthew...Jason...in a short while we will be in the ring...in a Steel Cage actually...and as soon as the Referee rings the bell the ass kicking begins. And it goes like this...my foot kicks your asses. Look, I am not trying to be a hard ass here guys...I am simply stating the raw true facts of what is going to happen. Jason you are 0-5 against me and that is going up to 0-6 tonight. Toddi, you have been bragging about how Axiom is the truth but you spewed forth so damn many lies this week that you damn sure better be happy you are not Pinocchio. Because every time Pinocchio told a lie his nose grew longer. With all the lies you told this week your nose, Matthew, would currently be stretching from here in Illinois across the Atlantic Ocean to London! Now if you will excuse me, I am going back into my dressing room to practic my posing so when I strap that International Title Belt around my waist after I defeat you two, I will know which pose gives my fans the best shot!
Bill pops back into his dressing room and he shuts the door on the camera. We switch back to ringside where the next match is getting ready to take place.
Matthew Toddi vs. Barnhart vs. Jason Stevens
Stormy Canyon: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the International Title!!! The first wrestler to come down the aisle is one of the two challengers!! Standing in at 6’0 and weighing in at 240 pounds!! Hailing from Oakland, California!!!! The Bulldog !!! Bill Barnhart!!!
TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS by Bachman Turner Overdrive hits the speaker. The TRON crackles to life and we see a close-up shot of Bill Barnhart and Iris his English Bulldog. The TRON then shifts scenes to seversl clips of Bill's wrestling matches where he is either administering his Bulldog or Piledriver to his opponent for the pinfall, or he is using one of his many submission moves to make them tap out. The spotlights focus on the backstage curtains and we see Bulldog Bill Barnhart step through the curtains leading Iris on her leash (Iris is not always present at Bill's matches though - so please check his promos for the week to see if Iris was left home or not). Bill comes out dressed in one of his trademark wrestling outfits (either the pink outfit with black trim witn ablack heart sewn over his heart...or the black outfit with pink trimp with a pink heart swen over si heart). Iris is dressed in her Pink Diamond-Studded Dog Collar. Bill walks confidently along the entrance walkway and under the TRON. As he walks under the TRON, pink and white pyros erupt causing a cascade of pink sparks to spill down on the entrance walkway around Bill (and Iris if she is accompanying him). Bill stops at the landing at the top of the entrance ramp to play the crowd with a huge smile on his face even though he gets mostly boos from the crowd. He then takes off with a quick pace to the ring. When Bill arrives at the ring he (hands the leash of Iris to an attendant at ringside) climbs the ring steps, walks along the ring apron, and then ducks through the ropes into the ring. Bill walks around the ring to acknowledge all the people in the crowd and he maintains his huge smile all the time although the crowd is booing him for his bad turn. Bill then takes up residence in a corner to await the arrival of his opponents
Stormy Canyon: His first opponent and other challenger for the International Title, standing in at 5’7 and weighing in at 175 pounds!! Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada!!! The Sensation!! Jason Stevens!!
The opening riff for "Beyond The Pale" is herd over the PA, as soon as the baseline kicks in Jason emerges from the back with his mentor Steve Ramone following him close behind alongside Carrie, the crowd are mixed in there reaction to the trio as whilst they hate Jason they love Steve, Jason rolls into the ring and bounces of the ropes as Steve and Carrie take up positions at ringside.
Stormy Canyon: Their final opponent stands in at 6’1 and weighs in at 225 pounds!! Hailing from Detroit, Michigan!! The reigning and defending International Champion!! Matthew Toddi!!!
Truth by Seether hits the PA system. Before Toddi walks out you hear the opening lines to the theme.
''If I gave you the truth would it keep you alive.
The cage is being lowered and surrounds the three combatants as Toddi is grinning from ear to ear as he is pointing towards both men and make signs that he will beat them. The bell rings as the final part of the cage has been fastened to the ring and the bell has rung. Toddi gets in the middle of the ring and points his finger in the chest of Bill Barnhart, who retaliates with a slap against the face of the champion. He follows it up by grabbing Toddi’s arm and deliver a slingshot into the steel ring wall. This causes Toddi to stagger backwards into the waiting arms of Bill Barnhart. But just as Bill wants to grab the champion, we see Jason Stevens run up from behind and drive a knee into the back of the Bulldog. This causes him to bash into the champion and fall down with Toddi landing backwards with the back of his head in a rather painful and personal body part of the Bulldog.
Tex Martin: Ouch!!!
Duff Travers: No puppies for Lupe for now!!!
Stevens climbs the cage wall and then sets him up to perform a moonsault off the cage and lands on top of Toddi, he then goes for the other side of the cage and executes an elbow drop off the wall and on top of Bulldog. He then points towards the door to be opened, but just as he gets to the door he realizes that the door has been locked shut. He starts to pull on the door, trying to open it. When he turns around, he walks straight into a spear delivered by Bill Barnhart. Who has gotten up first of the two other wrestlers after receiving the elbow drop. Bill drives a series of boots in the chest of Jason Stevens before grabbing his legs and dropping backwards. Causing Steven’s his throat to hit the bottom rope. Bill turns around and gets dropkicked in the face by Toddi, who then jumps forward and places his boots on the chest of Bill Barnhart while holding on to the back of his head and then falls backwards. Hitting the canvas hard and the impact causes Barnhart to fall backwards hard against the cage wall. We can see blood flow from the back of Bill’s head as his head hit the steel wall hard.
Tex Martin: Blood is flowing!!
Duff Travers: Come on champ!!!
Toddi is slowly walking over to the cage where Bill can be seen crawling over towards him. Toddi is mocking him by putting his boot to the face before climbing the cage wall. Not realizing that Stevens got up to his feet and made a valiant effort to stop him from winning the match. Stevens grabs the waist and jumps up the ropes and then jumps backwards where he executes a Backsuplex off the top rope and nails Toddi backfirst and headfirst into the canvas as the fans go nuts and get to their feet.
Crowd: Holy Shit!! Holy Shit!!!
Tex Martin: I could not agree more!! What a move from Jason Stevens!!!
Duff Travers: Yeah, but will he follow up??
Stevens is getting excited, but just as he is about to climb through the cage he gets stopped by a bloodied Bill Barnhart. He pulls him off the cage wall, kicks Stevens in the midsection and then drives him down with a big time DDT. Bill slowly gets to the wall and starts to climb it as both Stevens and Toddi are out of it. Bill reaches the top and climbs to the outside where he jumps off and lands with both feet on the ground as the bell rings.
Though im closer to wrong an no further from right.
And now im covinced on the inside something's wrong with me.
Convinced on the inside.
Theres something wrong with ME!!''.
As the last word of the opening riff sounds, red and white fireworks come from above as Matthew Toddi walks throughthem with the AWA International title around his waste. He walks down to the ringas he gets booed by the audience. Once he gets to the ring he walks up the steel steps and enters the ring slowly. He walks to a turnbuckle and climbs up it. He then takes the title from his waste and holds it above his head as the fans boo and try to throw food and drinks at him. He then gets down and hands the belt to the ref as he warms up before his opponent walks out.
