A podium stands in the middle of the ring with the AWA logo on it. The fans seems confused. Murmurs suggest that Goth is about to make a huge announcement. Suddenly "Hail to the Chief" begins playing over the speakers.
Duff Travers: Is President Obama here?
Tex Martin: Anything is possible in the AWA.
Suddenly Chris Shipman comes out from behind the curtain. He has a grin on his face and carrying a handful papers. He is all fancied up in a suit and his hair slicked back into a pony tail. He waves to the crowd who is booing him. SHipman pocedes to enter the ring after going around ringside trying to shake hands with the audience who refuse everytime. Shipman stands behind the podium and places the papers down. He puts on a pair of glasses as the music stops.
Shipman: Good evening ladies and gentleman. I hope you are enjoying the show. Tonight I figured it was about time I brought back a little tradition of mine that I did since my debut in POW and again in GWA. Tonight I bring you the State of Insomnia address. For those fo you unfamiliar with how I do things it is quite simple. I say the name of a superstar and tell you what you need to know about them. LIke for example, I will use myself. Chris Shipman. The greatest man in the history of the AWA that has been screwed each and every week since before Christmas, by referees mostly. He should be Universal champion and be respected by every single one of you in the crowd, and everyone on the AWA payroll. See now wasn't that easy. And to make things even more simple for you peons, I am gjust going to go straight down the roster list right odf the AWA website startign with Alex Young.
Some young punk who is full of himself. But what can I say, he is the new generation fo Jason Stevens, and we all know what happened to him. Don't be surprised if this dummy from Miami ends up right there in the unemployment line with Mr. Stevens. There is more to this business then trying to be Charlie Sheen and soon Young will learn this lesson in the hardest way possible.
Next we have, former Universal champion Anthony Phoenix, well the unofficial Universal champion because he has never faced me to defeat me. He has prove great promise in the future and I know Goth has the dollar signs in his eyes when he sees this kid, too bad soon the time will come and the pretty boy face will be hanging from a piece of barbed wire.
Billy, Billy, Billy. The oldest dog in the yard. Congratulations on your tag team title win, however I will never recognize you as a two time grand slam champion until you win that television championship. Maybe you should use your connections and have it reinstated for one night only, me versus you for the vacated belt. And after I beat you, you will still be one belt away from your second grand slam. Oh and if you ever poke your head into my match again, I guarantee it will be the last, and I know you are smart Billy so I know, you know, I make good on my threats.
And then there is the legend of Chaos. A legend is a good word for you too isn't Chaos. A story handed down through the generations, usually unverified. See Chaos, I hear all these great stories about you but then I see you return, even teamed with you and your brothers and I have yet to see this monster as you are always described as. Instead I see a guy that should help Bill Barnhart walk down to the retirement home where you both belong. Your time has come and gone Chaos, now it is my turn.
What about this Ebony Mae, the first female since Toxic Angel dominated here. She has already gone on to be a tag team champion. Impressive for now, but what will happen when AWA's most dominate beauty queen goes up against the resident psychopath? Nothing like some good old fashioned sodomy is all I have to say about that.
Hank Henry the Third. AWA's resident druggie and horndog. Yes he is a part of my recent losing streak....
The crowd begins chanting a mixture of "LOSER" and "BORING". SHipman just speaks louder.
Shipman: But Kohut and Chaplin Graves will never get the better of me. Did I say Kohut? Yes I did. ANd as much as Hank will disagree he knows he will never escape tyhe history of Malvolio Kohut.
Rookie James Crow, can't really say much about you because like the crowd is saying right now, you are boring.
The crowd boos wildly as debris begins raining into the ring.
Shipman: Jason John Cash, you were here and now you are gone.
Jinx, the next bitch in the AWA. Toxic never scared me, Ebony doesn't scare me, you don't scare me. You can go do a bunch of voodoo curses and mumbo jumbo. I'm just going keep smiling as I bash your face repeatedly over and over again on the steel steps at ringside before I put you out for good.
John Gold, you just remind me of Jay Gold and you should just disappear with Kissinger and the rest of that clan. I don't know much of you, nor do I want to.
Fang, the man who started this screwjob. You know damn well I beat you for the Universal title. I should be champion, and then you go on and lose it before I get m y revenge, but you win the consolation prize, only to use your money to get a rematch when I am supposed to be off. I will still get my revenge on you wolf boy, just wait and see.
Laz, hold on a second I need a drink.
Shipman pulls a bottle of water off the shelf in the podium and takes a swig.
Shipman: Matthew Toddi, another former stablemate, now just the laughing stock of the AWA, in fact I would like to take this time to announce him the new Jason Stevens.
Max Maxim, the human maxi pad. You are not the first big man in the AWA, won't be the last, but just like the others, you get in my way big boy, and you will fall just as hard as they did.
Morbius Tassius, why did you bother coming back? Sure you may win a lot but you still have yet to strike fear in people. Do something extraordinary. Let me see the Morbs of the past.
Owen Idol, my former mentor. Boy was it fun when I blew up your gym. What great wars we had. But can you still keep it up? I doubt it. If you dare step in the ring against me again, I will makle sure it is the last time.
Sean Randell, I man with numerous wins, yet I have yet to hear anything about you. What great things have you accomplished in your career? AWA International champion and Universal champion as well as former gerneral manager? And what did you do as general manager? Absolutly nothing, maybe that is why you were only a GM for five months.
Shane West, the primetime playa. The current Unofficial Universal champion. Like I stated before, you will not be the champion until you beat me. It's kinda hard to believe with you been in MCW, GWA, and AWA, you have yet to face me. A challange I would like, and a challange I will beat. I will prove that there is only one true champion here and that is me.
Thirteen, the man who just beat me last week. You got lucky you roid monkey. One day, you will have to explain to me how Synn getting all hot and horny for you became you seeing me getti9ng all hot and horny. And I'm glad you finally got to see Cibernetico videos, but that wasn't me, I just look like him. If you wanna see my videos you got to go to the AWA website, duh, was easy wasn't it. I knew roids shrank balls but I didn't think it lowered your brain cell count.
Whiteout, tonight spoke for itself.
Finally we come to the biggest target. Goth. Look in my eyes "boss". You knew you took a risk when you hired me a couple years ago, and now it is time for your soul to pay. In due time I will be coming for you, and there will be no God, devil, lawyer, bodyguard, gun, knife, nothing at all, that is going to save you. I want blood for these past few weeks and only yours is thick enough to seal the holes I am about to put in the AWA.
Funeral March of the Queen Mary begins playing as Shipman stares at the camera for a few moments before walking away back to the locker room.
Alex Young vs. Whiteout vs. Ryan Williams
The opening match for this edition of Asylum Wrestling Alliance Monday Night Insomnia is about to begin. The cameras pan around Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, as the fans are excited and ready for this event to begin. We cut to Tex and Duff at ringside as they give the particulars of this opening match tonight.
TEX: Although I feel it is a great start to tonight's Insomnia event to have a Triple Threat Boiler Room Brawl, when I look at the participants I am not sure if any of them are going to hang in this type of match.
DUFF: What do you mean Tex?
TEX: Alex Young comes in with a 0-1-0 record. Whiteout comes in with an even more dismal 0-3-0 record. Then we have Ryan Williams who hasn't yet performed in Asylum Wrestling Alliance events so we don't even know what to expect from him. I mean, come on, a combined record of 0-4-0 going into this opening match doesn't sound exciting to me.
DUFF: Why don't we both wait and see what happens? Usually Boiler Room Brawls are major entertainment if nothing else. Would you please give a run down on what the match entails and how a wrestler wins the match?
TEX: The concept of this match is very simple. The three wrestlers will be sent into the Boiler Room here at Rogers Arena. Referee Richard Head will close the door behind them and he will guard the door to ensure that nobody can enter the Boiler Room and interfere with the three wrestlers.
DUFF: There will be two cameramen in the Boiler Room to catch all the action. This match is Hardcore Rules and anything the wrestlers can find inside the Boiler Room is fair game to use as a weapon. There are no pinfalls or submissions in this type of match. The only way a wrestler can win is to beat down his opponents, come to the exit door where Referee Richard Head is stationed, and be the first wrestler to exit the Boiler Room.
TEX: The way a wrestler indicates to Richard Head that they are at the door is to pound on the door and Referee Head will open the door. If it happens that more than one wrestler exits the Boiler Room at the same time, then Referee Head, either on his own or with the use of Instant Reply, will decide who got out of the Boiler Room first. With that said we turn you over to the announcements of the wrestlers.
DUFF: They will be announced by Stormy Canyon and they will stage themselves at the entrance to the Boiler Room to await the start of the match by Referee Richard Head.
CAN'T BE TOUCHED by Roy Jones hits the speakers in the Arena. Pyros erupt on both sides of the entrance area and from the top of the TRON as Alex Young steps out from the backstage area. Alex dances around to play the crowd and he gets a mixed reaction from them. As the music continues Alex walks down the ramp and past the ring to make his way to the door to the Boiler Room where Referee Richard Head is located. He stops and stands next to Richard Head as Stormy Canyon provides the announcement of his arrival.
STORMY CANYON: Here is the first participant in this opening match, a Triple Threat Boiler Room Brawl, he comes from Miami, Florida, he stands tall at 6 feet 6 inches and weighs in at 255 pounds, please give a great Canadian welcome to "IRRISISTABLE" ALEX YOUNG!!!
Alex Young raises his hands high into the air to acknowledge his announcement and to once again play the crowd. He again gets a mixed reaction for a moment until he is interrupted by STROBE'S NANAFUSHI by Kodo hitting the speakers in the Arena and the lights in the Arena going dark. The attention of the fans is directed to the entrance area as there is a single spotlight pointed in that direction. We see Whiteout come out from the backstage area. He walks under the TRON and stops at the top of the entrance ramp. He takes a bow and he receives a mixed reaction from the fans. Whiteout walks down the ramp toward the ring and then he makes his way over to the door to the Boiler Room where Alex Young and Referee Richard Head are located. He awaits the announcement of his arrival from Stormy Canyon.
STORMY CANYON: Here is our second competitor for this opening match, he comes from Levittown, New York, he stands in at 6 feet 3 inches, and he weighs 240 pounds, please give a warm welcome to JAMES "WHITEOUT" JOHNSON!!!
The crowd also gives Whiteout a mixed reaction as he waves to the crowd and acknowledges his introduction. We hear WELCOME HOME by Coheed and Cambria hit the speakers and the attention of the crowd is turned toward the entrance area for the entrance of the next wrestler for this match. We watch as Ryan Williams steps out from the backstage area and he stops at the landing at the top of the entrance ramp. Once again this Canadian crowd gives him a mixed reaction as they did to the previous two wrestlers. Ryan walks down the ramp toward the ring and then he makes his way over to the door to the Boiler Room where Alex Young, Whiteout, and Referee Richard Head are located.
STORMY CANYON: Here is our third, and final, participant in this opening match, the Triple Threat Boiler Room Brawl, he comes from Windsor, England, he stands in at 6 feet 4 inches, and he weighs 247 pounds, please give a warm Canadian welcome to RYAN "THE MASTER OF PERFECTION" WILLIAMS!!!
The crowd seems to be consistent as they also give Ryan Williams a mixed reaction. It appears the crowd has yet to pick a favorite they wish to cheer for but we expect that to develop as the match progresses. While Referee Richard Head is giving the instructions and stipulations of the match to the three wrestlers, we return our attention to Tex and Duff at ringside, as they add further comment on the participants of this match.
TEX: I feel statistics are an important part of wrestling, and even more so when you take into account a Boiler Room Brawl where it is brutal, and demanding, and vicious.
DUFF: You are correct for once Tex. What we have coming into this match is the previous injury status of Alex Young. He comes in with some previous knee problems which could easily play into this match to the benefit of Whiteout and Ryan Williams. If they are aware of the previous knee problems of Young, and if they play up on it by attacking his legs, they can get the advantage on him.
TEX: Then we come to James WHITEOUT Johnson. James comes in with a left knee which he had to have surgery on to repair. He appears to have only this knee thing so he may be okay in the match. Again, as in the case with Alex Young, if the other two wrestlers attack the left knee of Whiteout they can possibly take him out early in the match.
DUFF: Finally we have Ryan Williams who comes into this match with no reportable injuries, either current or previous. With all that said I would have to give the advantage to Ryan Williams for two reasons. One reason would be that he has no previous injuries which the other two wrestlers can take advantage of. The second reason is that he is a Technical Style of wrestler which means he should be able to out-maneuver Young and Whiteout in this match.
TEX: But please remember that a Boiler Room Brawl match is less about wrestling ability and more about Hardcore attacks and the ability to endure the punishment. It looks like Referee Richard Head is ready to send the three wrestlers into the Boiler Room so let's go over there and watch this match get underway.
Referee Richard Head removes the key to the door to the Boiler Room from his pocket. He unlocks the door and requests that the three wrestlers enter the Boiler Room and they do. The two cameramen follow the wrestlers into the Boiler Room. Head leans his head into the Boiler Room and he reminds the wrestlers that all exit doors are locked but the only one they can use to exit the Boiler Room and get the win is this one they just entered. Richard Head further states that he will close and LOCK this door so when one of the wrestlers is at the door ready to exit, they need to pound on the door. When Referee Head hears the pounding on the door he will unlock the door, open the door, and whichever wrestler is the first to exit the Boiler Room will be declared the winner of this match. After his comments Richard Head slams the door shut and he turns the key to lock the door. The three wrestlers and the two cameramen are inside the Boiler Room and the match is officially underway. The fans anxiously watch the action on the TRON.
TEX: Here we go...Match is on!
DUFF: Should be brutal!
Alex Young is the first to take off in the Boiler Room. Whiteout and Ryan Williams look at each other and then figure they might as well start fighting and they can catch up with Young later since there are only so many places you can go in a closed environment. Williams realizes he is close to the door of the Boiler Room so he decides to take a chance and see if he can get over on Whiteout by running over and beating on the door. Ryan runs to the door and he begins beating on it. Referee Head unlocks the door and he opens it. Williams is trying desperately to exit the Boiler Room but Whiteout grabs him around the throat and he drags him back into the Boiler Room. The Referee slams the door shut and locks the door again. Whiteout spins Ryan around and he delivers a karate chop to the throat of Williams. This causes Ryan to stumble back and into the wall. Whiteout spies a two-by-four board leaning against the wall so he picks it up and swings it hard toward Ryan Williams. Fortunately for Ryan he was able to dive out of the way and the two-by-four shatters when it hits the wall while Williams rolls across the Boiler Room floor.
TEX: That was a very fortunate break for Ryan Williams. Had Whiteout been able to slam that two-by-four into him they would be carrying Ryan out on a stretcher.
DUFF: There is no luck involved in that maneuver by Williams. You saw how he attempted to win the match quickly at the beginning of the match. His diving out of the way of the attempt by Whiteout to hit him with the two-by-four was by design.
Whiteout turns around the stares down Ryan Williams who is just now getting to his feet. Whiteout approaches Williams but Ryan sees a sledgehammer on the Boiler Room floor. He picks the sledgehammer up and he is swinging it in a threatening manner. Whiteout is not at all intimidated by Williams and the sledgehammer as he stoops down and picks up a long length of chain. The two wrestlers circle like roosters in a cock fight until Williams puts all his strength into the swing of the sledgehammer toward Whiteout. While Ryan is about to deliver a sledgehammer blow, Whiteout manages to double the chain and hold it in front of him. The chain effectively stops the sledgehammer and Whiteout wraps the chain around the head of the sledgehammer and he pulls really hard yanking Williams toward him. When Ryan is within reach Whiteout drops the chain and the sledgehammer and he picks Williams up in a choke slam hold and he slams him hard into an electrical panel. As Ryan hits the doors of the electrical panel he falls forward and the doors of the electrical panel pop open exposing the wiring and circuit breakers.
TEX: Oh man...I can already see this is going to get ugly.
DUFF: Can't get much uglier than you Tex.
Williams is slow to get to his feet. Whiteout sees that he has inflicted enough damage on Ryan to get the advantage on him. He removes the chain from around the sledgehammer and he wraps it around the neck of Williams and he starts to choke him out. The only option Ryan Williams has is to try to back Whiteout into the open electrical panel and shock him. Ryan is fighting with all his remaining strength and he is, very slowly, managing to maneuver Whiteout toward the open electrical panel. When they are about two feet from the electrical panel, and when Whiteout realizes what is about to happen, he spins Ryan Williams around, while still maintaining the choke hold with the chain around Ryan's neck, and when he has Williams turned around and Ryan's back is toward the open electrical panel, Whiteout shoves Ryan hard backward into the panel. Williams hits the wires and circuit breakers in the electrical panel and we can tell he is receiving a major shock from the electrical current. He is shuddering and shaking and groaning and then part of the electrical panel explodes and Ryan Williams falls to his face on the Boiler Room Floor and he is totally out cold. About half the lights in the Boiler Room have gone out due to the short in the electrical panel.
TEX: Here is a great advantage and opportunity for Whiteout. I have no clue what happened to Alex Young but so far he has not been involved in this match.
DUFF: He doesn't have much time to get involved in this match because it won't take long for Whiteout to make it to the exit door for the win.
The crowd is shocked and somewhat repulsed by the near electrocution of Ryan Williams. They believe he may only be knocked out, and not dead, otherwise Paramedics would have been sent in, so after their initial shock they start to get back into the match. Whiteout looks toward the door to exit the Boiler Room and he smiles as he realizes he has a very easy victory coming his way. He starts to make his way toward the door to the Boiler Room when we see Alex Young appear out of the darkness behind Whiteout. Alex is not seen by Whiteout so he doesn't realize he is behind him. Young is holding a metal tool box in his hand as he walks up and taps Whiteout on the shoulder just before Whiteout reaches the exit door. Whiteout turns around as he thinks it is one of the cameramen tapping him on the shoulder. However what he is met with his Alex Young slamming the metal tool box into his face. The shock of the tool box shot to the face causes Whiteout to drop to his knees. When he looks up we can see his face is cut and he is bleeding but he isn't giving up yet. Alex quickly runs to the exit door and starts to pound on it. Before Referee Richard Head can open the door, Whiteout has gotten to his feet and he runs over and drags Alex Young backward and back into the Boiler Room.
TEX: A near surprise victory there by Alex Young!
DUFF: I agree but it appears it will take more than a tool box shot to the face to put Whiteout out of this match.
Whiteout is dragging Young deeper into the Boiler Room to keep him away from the exit door. He is attempting to keep himself between Alex and the door so that he can make it to the door first. As the two wrestlers are maneuvering for an advantage they stumble into the desk of the Janitor. On the desk is a portable radio. As Whiteout bends Young backward on top of the desk he sees the portable radio. Whiteout reaches over and picks the radio up and he slams it into the face of Alex Young. This causes Alex some pain and his only reaction is to kick out and he manages to kick Whiteout in the groin. Whiteout lets out a low groan as he lets go of Young and grabs his nutsack for comfort. While Whiteout is on his knees, massaging his nutsack, Alex gets off the table and he delivers a severe kick to the chest of Whiteout. This causes Whiteout to fall over on his back. Alex Young decides to go for the win as he quickly walks by the fallen Whiteout. In a desperation move Whiteout reaches out and he is fortunate that he is able to grab onto the ankle of Alex Young. Alex is trying to shake off Whiteout but the grip Whiteout has on him is firm and he isn't letting go. Young is quickly looking around to see what item he can reach to use as a weapon but nothing is within his grasp.
TEX: It would appear we have a Stalemate.
DUFF: Now the match comes down to who can be more innovative and come up with a way to get away from his opponent and get to the door. By the way do we know how Ryan Williams is doing?
One of the cameramen walks over and gets a shot of Ryan Williams who is still unconscious on the Boiler Room floor. We can see that he is, in fact, breathing, but the shock, literally, of the electrical current surging through his body, has kept him unconscious.
TEX: There he is! I would say Ryan Williams is feeling the results of a rather shocking experience!
DUFF: *GROAN* That was a horrible pun and in very poor taste!
As the two wrestlers struggle Alex Young trips and falls to the floor. As looks over and sees a large pipe wrench, maybe three feet long, and me manages to grab it. He swings it at Whiteout and manages to get a few hits on him. Whiteout releases his grip on Alex Young but he sees he is close enough to the chain he used earlier so he picks up the chain, he stands to his feet, and the two wrestlers face each other, one with a pipe wrench in his hand and the other with a chain. Young is taking swipes at Whiteout with the pipe wrench but this time Whiteout is able to avoid getting hit. He retaliates by trying to whip the chain into Alex Young but Alex is managing to avoid being whipped with the chain.
TEX: Hmmm...we have a stand-off here and the door is about 20 feet away so one of them is going to have to disable the other or we are going to be here all night.
DUFF: It has been an interesting match so it will be more interesting to see what happens next.
Alex and Whiteout continue to swing their weapons in an attempt to hit the other. As they are maneuvering around it has come down to the two standing under a steam pipe running through the Boiler Room. Whiteout reels back and lets go with a whip of the chain to end this match with a brutal whip on Alex Young. Half way into the swing he stops suddenly. The cameraman gets a shot of the chain, which has wrapped itself around the steam pipe, thus causing Whiteout to be hung up on the pipe. He is working desperately to remove the chain from around the pipe but he cannot get it off. Alex Young takes advantage of the situation by walking up and swinging the pipe wrench hard into the side of Whiteout, hitting him on the arm and upper body. The force of the blow causes the feet of Whiteout to go out from under him causing his full weight to be on the chain and on the steam pipe the chain is wrapped around. The weight is too much for the steam pipe and it breaks and starts spewing burning steam out of the break. Unfortunately for Alex Young he is on the other side of the steam pipe from where the exit door is located. Whiteout slowly gets to his feet and he realizes if he gets hit by the steam he will be severely burned. He also realizes that he is on the side of the steam pipe where the exit door is located so he starts to slowly limp toward the door.
TEX: That was a bad break for Alex Young when that steam pipe broke. I mean, come on, look at that hot steam spewing out of the broken pipe! I have heard that a pinhole steam leak can cut a broom handle so it appears that Alex Young will have to stay put or risk serious injury trying to get through the steam spray.
DUFF: As often happens in wrestling matches it only takes one small thing to turn a match around.
Whiteout is almost to the exit door for the win. Our attention is turned back to Alex Young who has found a blanket stuffed into a locker near the desk of the maintenance man. He is attempting to wrap himself in the blanket so that he can jump through the steam spray without getting hurt too much. Whiteout has reached the exit door and he pounds on it. Referee Richard Head unlocks the door and he opens it and he sees Whiteout standing there. Whiteout is nearly out on his feet due to the heat from the steam and the vicious pipe wrench shot to the side. He takes a step toward the exit door but staggers back a few steps. Just as he regains his balance we watch as Alex Young has the blanket wrapped around his body and he takes off running and he leaps through he steam spray without suffering damage. He drops the blanket and he sees Whiteout close to the door of the Boiler Room. Whiteout takes a few steps toward the exit door and he is one step away when Alex Young dives into Whiteout and he tackles him. The tackle causes Whiteout to drop forward and out of the Boiler Room door. Whiteout hits the floor first and Referee Richard Head calls for the bell to declare Whiteout the winner of this match. Alex Young is upset that the tackle he made caused Whiteout to fall out of the door for the win.
TEX: That match turned out to be closer than I expected. I honestly didn't think there was a way for Alex Young to get through the steam spray.
DUFF: It was a hard fought match and both wrestlers are going to have aches and bruises and cuts to remind them of this match for a while. By the way what is the status of Ryan Williams?
TEX: The Paramedics are carrying him out of the Boiler Room as we speak. It appears he is still unconscious from getting shocked in the electrical panel. I guess they will take him to the hospital for evaluation and we will get a report on him later.
STORMY CANYON: Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your winner of this match, by being the first wrestler to exit the Boiler Room, he is JAMES JOHNSTON, ALSO KNOWN AS WHITEOUTTTTT!!!!!
The crowd goes into a mostly positive reaction for the announcement of the victory by Whiteout. Alex Young, although disappointed that he lost, realizes that had he not tackled Whiteout, but had he pulled him back into the Boiler Room instead, he might has achieved the victory.
Winner: Whiteout
Ryan Williams is being carried to an ambulance when we see Damien Rutherford standing there with a grin on his face
Damien: Good journey Mr. Williams, this is a one way ticket to nowhere. Because as of today, your contract has been terminated. Goodbye
Damien laughs hard as he walks away
The Scene opens Backstage on Hank Henry III as he is seen getting ready for his match. He opens his locker and shifts through it as something falls to the ground. He smirks picking up a small bottle shape figurine made of barbed wire.
Hank: What the hell are you?
Suddenly a shadow appears behind him as gloved hands wrap a black bag around his head and throws him to the ground. The camera pans over just a bit to reveal none other then James Crow as he begins to savagely beat on the helpless Hank. James laughs with school yard glee as he brutally kicks Hank. Henry manages to grab a hold of James’ Leg and pulls it out from under Crow. James hits the ground hard which forces the wind out of his lungs, which gives Hank just enough time to rip the bag from his head. Hank and James jump to their feet at the same time and begin trading lefts and rights. The brawl seems causes James to erupt with a mad laughter, until Hank grabs James by the head and throws him into the locker. Taking the avantage Hank slams the locker door onto James’ head not once but 3 times till Crow goes limp. Hank steps back and glares at the body laying in front of him.
Hank: You son of a Bitch.
James jumps to life surprising Hank with a dirty low blow. Hank folds over and hits the ground once more. Crow not taking any risks grabs at the fork in Hanks locker. James digs the prongs of the fork deep into the Fallen mans forehead. Blood pours down from the open wound blinding Hank just long enough for Crow to Vanish out of sight. The Scene fades to black as Hank frantically wipes the blood from his eyes.
Choas vs. Hank Henry III
The lights in the arena go dark and suddenly Papa Roach "Burn" hits over the PA and the lights from the stage burst into life as the lyrics quickly build to the chorus as Chaos makes his way out onto the stage, he raises his hands into the air as a barage of flames rise from the stage to the right and left of him, Chaos continues to walk down to the ring and up the stairs as the flames continue to flow at the top of the stage, he climbs into the ring and climbs to the second rope, raising his hands once more. Chaos then jumps down as the music fades and he is ready to get down to business!.
Tex- Chaos looks ready for this Duff. Hes long over due a victory in my eyes.p>
Duff- Chaos has been out for too long Tex. He doesn’t stand a chance against that mad man Hank Henry!
Hanks Henrys music then hits and after a few seconds he appears from the backstage area. He swiftly makes his way down to the ring looking quite intense. When he reaches the ring he rolls under the bottom rope and gets to his feet. Chaos looks ready to go on the opposite side of the ring. Hank removes his cowboy hat and hands it to the ref who tosses out towards the ring announcer. The music stops and the ref signals for the bell.
DING, DING
Duff- Here we go folks!
Hank and Chaos circle the each other in the centre of the ring before both raising their arms and locking up. Chaos seems to get the better of Hank and pushes him back into the corner of the ring. Chaos hits Hank with a knee to the gut which is followed by a slap across the face. Chaos then backs up into the centre of the ring and allows a winded Hank Henry to recover from the knee to the gut.
Hank gets it together and steps towards Chaos once again who is too quick and connects with a big boot to the chest. Hank falls on his back with force. Chaos quickly moves towards Hank and grabs him by the neck before bringing him to his feet. Chaos hits Hank with a forearm uppercut knocking Hank into the ropes. When he bounces back Chaos hits another forearm uppercut, then another and another and another. Hank rocks back onto the ropes once more and when he returns Chaos hits him with a devastating clothesline knocking Hank to the mat once more.
Tex- Hank doesn’t look himself tonight Duff. I think Chaos could take this, and possibly in devastating fashion!
Chaos runs into the ropes and returns towards Hank before hitting him square in the head with a knee drop. Chaos gets to his feet. He raises his arm and the crowd break into a chorus of boos. Chaos bends down to pick Hank up once more but this time he is met with a low blow. Chaos grabs his “area” and falls back onto his backside in excruciating pain. Hank slowly gets to his feet and kicks Chaos in the head. He picks Chaos up off the mat and puts him into position before hitting a german suplex, throwing Chaos over to the other side of the ring.
Duff- You were saying Tex?
Hank gets to his feet and races over to Chaos before picking him up and hitting another german suplex, again throwing him over to the opposite side of the ring. Hank gets to his feet and again quickly makes his way over to the motionless Chaos. He picks him up and hits him square in the face with a couple of closed fists knocking him into the corner. Hank hits a suplex on Chaos before climbing the top turnbuckle and hitting a leg drop from the second rope. Hank rolls Chaos over for the pin
1....2....Kick-Out
Hank screams at the ref whilst clapping his hands three times before turning his attention back to Chaos. He picks him up and throws him into the ropes. When Chaos comes back off the ropes Hank attempts a clothesline but misses. Chaos returns off the opposite rope and hits his own clothesline onto Hank, knocking him to the mat. Hanks gets to his feet almost instantly before Chaos hits another clothesline. The same happens again and Chaos again knocks Hank to the mat. Chaos gains rhythm, bounces off the ropes, and hits another knee drop onto Hank. He then picks him up and kicks him in the groin before attempting to hit his HOLLYWOOD DRIVE BY finisher. As he lifts up his leg to bring down onto Hank, Hank stands up straight and catches it whilst shaking his head. Hank kicks Chaos in the groin and delivers perfectly executed DDT onto the mat. Chaos is out cold. Hanks goes for the cover again.
1...2...KICK-OUT
Hanks gets to his feet and picks up Chaos. He signals to the crowd that this one is over. Hank hits another DDT onto Chaos and picks him up again straight away whipping him into the ropes and going for his COMMUNIST CLOTHESLINE but Chaos ducks and returns off the opposite ropes and delivers his own clothesline. Hank hits the mat. Chaos makes his way to the corner and waits for Hank to get to his feet. As Hank stirs Chaos races over just as Hank gets to his feet. Chaos goes for his REBOOT trademark kick but Hank ducks and Chaos misses. When Chaos turns around Hank is waiting and this time connects with his COMMUNIST CLOTHESLINE knocking Chaos unconscious to the mat. Hank covers Chaos for the third time in the match.
1...2...3!
Stormy: The winner of the match!! Hank Henry III
Winner: Hank Henry III
We cut backstage where Asylum Wrestling Alliance Interviewer, Page Harris, is conducting a short interview segment with Bill Barnhart.
PAGE HARRIS: I am here with Bill Barnhart who will soon be involved in the Main Event which is a Triple Threat Non-Title Match against Shane West and Th1rt3en. So, Bill, how do you feel going into this match?
BILL BARNHART: I feel the same I do going into every match Page. I am confident, excited, and ready to rock!
PAGE HARRIS: Is there any concern that Goth put you up against not only Shane West but also against your friend, Stable-Mate, and Co-Tag Team Champion, Th1rt3en?
BILL BARNHART: Page, you obviously don't pay attention to things I said this week. The rules of the match are that is that me and Th1rt3en can only pin Shane West and not each other. Shane West can only pin me or Th1rt3en, which is a given, so there is no need for me to think that Goth set this match up to try to break me and Th1rt3en up. We were assigned to this match for the sole purpose of kicking Shane West's ass for Goth. Don't read more into this match than what it is Page.
PAGE HARRIS: Are you sticking with your previous comments that you have no desire to pin Shane West or make him submit for the win?
BILL BARNHART: Yep! That is what I said Page. It shows you were really paying attention to what I said earlier in the week. What do I need to prove by pinning Shane West? I already did that in the match which got him kicked out of Execution Stable. I have already proved I can defeat Shane West. I am not in this match to get another victory...I am in this match to teach Shane West a lesson and to do the job Goth assigned me to do. I admire and respect Th1rt3en so much that I will allow him the honor of finishing up on West.
PAGE HARRIS: Well, there you have it, Bill Barnhart is in this match to inflict pain and punishment upon Shane West and he is willing to step aside and let Th1rt3en so his thing on West for the win.
Backstage John Gold is sat on a stool in the middle of his locker room. He is sat wearing his usual ring attire of black and gold jumpsuit and white lace up boots. His hair is hanging loose as he tapes up his wrists in preparation for his matchup with Matthew Toddi.
Stood next to him is fellow Axiom member and assistant Terry Stone. Stone is wearing a sharp Hugo Boss suit with Oliver Sweeny shoes. He is stood with his arms folded and his chest puffed out.
Stone- So whats the plans for tonight John?
Gold- The plan is for you to stay back here and wait. Wait for me to return to my locker room as the number one contender. I don’t want you coming out to ring tonight. Im sure as hell Matthew wont be bringing Chaos out to the ring with him. This match will be full of mutual respect. I don’t want anything marring my chances of winning. I can do this alone. I WILL do this alone.
Stone- Ok John, your the boss. Ill be waiting by the curtain just incase Chaos or even that little bitch Anthony Phoenix wants to get involved.
Gold- Now, now Terry. We agreed we would put our differances with Mr-Phoenix to bed for the sake of Axiom. No need for that sort of disrespect.
Stone- You might have forgiven him for his backchat and cheek John but I certainly have not. That little punk will get whats coming to him sooner rather than later. Mark my words.
Gold- You just keep your mind set on tonight Terry. Im gonna go out there and win my match. You do what you said and stay by the curtain just incase. Come on, lets go.
With that the Gold gets to his feet and the pair leave the locker room. The show cuts to a commercial break.
John Gold vs. Matthew Toddi
Stormy: The next match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the number one contendership of the Universal Title!!! The first wrestler to come down the aisle stands in at 6’3 and weighing in at 260 pounds!!! Hailing from Boyle, Heights, California!!! John Gold!!!
Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers hits on the speaker system. No darkness, no Pyros, no over the top camera effects. As the beat of Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers kicks in John Gold appears from the back grasping a white sports towel. His eyes are completley fixed on the ring as he makes his way past the adoring AwA hardcore fans. Fans try to get a touch of one of the brightest young talents the business has to offer today but he is unfazed. When he reaches the ring he slides under the bottom rope, heads to the furthest away corner and raises his arm before tossing his white sports towel into the front row of seats. He climbs down from the turnbuckle and turns, always looking intense and ready for the gauntlet that stands before him
Stormy: And his opponent, standing in at 6’1 and weighing in at 225 pounds!! Hailing from Detroit, Michigan!!! Mathew Toddi!!!
Truth by Seether hits the PA system. Before Toddi walks out you hear the opening lines to the theme.
“If I gave you the truth would it keep you alive.
Though im closer to wrong an no further from right.
And now im covinced on the inside something's wrong with me.
Convinced on the inside.
Theres something wrong with ME!!''.
As the last word of the opening riff sounds, red and white fireworks come from above as Matthew Toddi walks through them. He walks down to the ringas he gets booed by the audience. Once he gets to the ring he walks up the steel steps and slowly enters the ring. He walks to a turnbuckle and climbs up it. He then holds his hands above his head as the fans boo and try to throw food and drinks at him. He then gets down and waits for the ref to ring the bell.
Tex: This is going to be interesting, two members of one stable and both want that shot at the big one!!!
Duff: And being the boss of this stable, I know that Toddi wants it the most!!
The bell has rang as the two members of the Axiom circle each other, Toddi is telling Gold that he should know what’s best for him as the newcomer shrugs his shoulders and just shakes his head in disagreement before locking arms with Toddi and does a test of strength. The heavier Gold gets slowly the upper hand on his opponent and shows him his strength by throwing Toddi in the ropes. Toddi looks on as he realizes that he cannot win a confrontation of strength with his opponent. He gets up and extends his hand to shake it with Gold as Gold looks on and isn’t sure whether he should accept it or not
Tex: This would be a first, a member of Axiom trying to show sportsmanship
Duff: HEY!! He speaks the truth you know!!
Finally Gold accepts the gesture and gives Toddi a hand, but is followed by a slap across the face of Gold. Toddi follows it up as Gold turns his head around after being a bit shocked by it as Toddi locks him in a standing side headlock. Gold starts to use his forearms into the ribs area of Toddi, before locking him in his arms and going for a modified Belly to Back suplex. But just as he performs the move it is Toddi that somehow manages to shift his weight around and lands on top of Gold for the three count. The referee goes down for the count, but only can count to two as Gold kicks out at the final moment
Tex: Nice counter of Toddi
Toddi locks in the side headlock on Gold, now this time on the canvas as he puts all of his weight on the head and neck of Gold. Gold pushes his arm in front of Toddi’s face, trying to make it hard for Toddi to breathe as Gold is trying to get back to his feet again. After a few moments he succeeds and pushes Toddi in the ropes and then frees himself by whipping Toddi to the other side of the ring and then drop him to the canvas as Toddi runs into Gold as if he was a brick wall. Gold grabs Toddi and starts to execute a Suplex out of nowhere, dropping Toddi on his back and then Gold grabs him by the legs and delivers a headbutt in the lower groin area
Duff: That got to hurt!!
